For me Wind Flower is their most under appreciated title track...it’s such a mood! on a related note, Wheein was taken to the hospital just earlier for muscle pain in her neck & back....please be healthy!
It really is a mood. I guess maybe that's why it's under appreciated, cause the others are more any mood? Oh no, hope she's ok! That doesn't sounds very pleasant, poor Wheein!
Windflower is one of my favorite mamamoo title tracks and mv. The music video is a homage to Wong Kar Wai films and is shot in Hong Kong. The song fits with wkw films themes of urban melancholy and loneliness. Looking forward to your Travel reaction. Hope you can give other mamamoo albums a listen too as their b-side tracks are also awesome. There's always a mamamoo song for every mood.
Oh someone else mentioned Wong Kar Wai. I don't think we've seen any of their movies. Is there any that are a must watch? We definitely plan to check out the b sides to the 4 seasons project. Now that we understand the whole concept, we're even more interested to hear them.
@@teacupfury6133 My personal favorites are In the Mood for Love and Chungking Express. There's also Fallen Angels, Ashes of Time, Happy Together and a lot more. Someone put together the shots they've referenced alongside the wind flower mv. I think it was by Filmed in Ether. It was cool seeing them side by side
Ahh....please DON’T watch the Immortal Songs (IM) medley! They do a great job with it, of course....they’re Mamamoo! But you need to watch/react to the stand alone IM performances...as I said, they medley is wonderful but honestly each IM performance is so very epic it would be a shame if you didn’t experience them! I really do try not to disagree with others comments (really am sorry) because opinions vary but I can’t stress enough how much better the actual performances are than the medley!
We've checked out the Starry Night MV, and saw them perform it at Kcon too which was great. It's one of our faves. Windflower is great as well! We keep hearing about the infamous immortal songs, so it's on our to do list for sure! Thanks for the suggestion!
@@teacupfury6133 please do check out IM. Not many idol groups (gg’s anyway) appear on the show. Most that have appeared have done so either once or twice (maybe a small handful 3-4 times)...MMM has appeared 13 times!!! Because their performances are so damn good....that’s why you should watch those & not the medley, again as good as it is. I’d go so far as to say even if you don’t react to them they are worth watching!
@@davids12345100 I agree that people should check out the individual performances, but I know that reactors have had issues with copyright, which is why there are few reactions of “way to sampo” out there (which is my fav one along with “love story of a girl). So that’s why immortal songs medley is usually the way to go.
It wasn’t as popular as some of their more recent releases....I believe more than anything it got lost in the MMM 2018 onslaught of genius title tracks! It was released in late November of 2018 but everyone’s focus & energy was still centered around Starry Night & Egotistic, 2 monster releases from earlier in the year.
One of my Faves. My first Comeback for Mamamoo. Loved it from the beginning. Still love it now. It is very understated, but such a brilliant song. Hard to believe it was two years ago when it came out. The version presented here is different to the Mini Album version due to extra instrumentation towards the break in the video.
It's a really nice song, definitely a whole mood/vibe. All 4 of the season title tracks are great! That makes sense, the long pause would be a bit weird in the album.
@@teacupfury6133 I think you may have misunderstood, I didn't mean the pause, I meant the instrumental part before the pause. All the tracks on the Mini Album are great too.
Ah gotcha 😂😂 We're looking forward to checking out all 4 mini albums. We just checked out the Travel EP, so we now have high expectations for all their b-sides! 😁
Wind flower it's one of my favorite tracks ever, it's just beautiful ❤️ I hope you can react to Mamamo Inmortal Songs Medley to, I would love to see you reacting to those power vocals live, the reason why I fell in love of Mamamoo 😍
The music video would be perfect if the legendary actress Faye Wong from the classic 1994 Hong Kong film noir "Chungking Express" had made a cameo appearance.
That would be cool. It would have gone over out heads, but we're curious to watch some of the movies that people have mentioned in the comments that Wind Flower reminded them of (or the MV was inspired by).
Ah that's a shame. It does seem like a song that's perfect for a specific mood, so maybe that played a part. All 4 title tracks from the project have their own unique charm though.
Yeaaaah one of my top5 Mamamoo song! It is really different. I also love "Starry Night" and pretend I'm singing the high notes!! 🤣 And yep they filmed this MV in Hong-Kong. It reminded me a lot of WONG Kar Wai "In The Mood For Love" movie when I first watch it. Looking forward to your EP reaction. Also, not related to Mamamoo, but speaking of piano, vocal, winter-vibe and flower, you may like to react to a solo artist Park Hyo Shin and his beautiful "Wild Flower": ua-cam.com/video/OxgiiyLp5pk/v-deo.html
Haha glad we're not alone. Starry night for some reason just brings the diva out! 🤣 Once we realised it was hong kong, we started spotting lots of places we'd seen. Oh we haven't seen that movie, do you recommend? Oh and thanks for the Hyo Shin recommendation, we'll take a listen and report back!
@@teacupfury6133 Tbh, I watched it because my date wanted to... 😅 It is visually a beautiful movie but not really my taste (and I'm not just watching action/comedy/fantasy/SciFi movies). The pace is slow so you have to be in a specific mood and not be sleepy to appreciate it. 😉
