Byul has a lot of covers and some solos/Mamamoo songs where she sings! Paint me is her official debut as vocalist (lol we cried because we have been waiting for that), she was initially trained as a singer then was given the rapper position (and sadly ruined her confidence in singing for YEARS). Post Paint Me more Mamamoo songs featured her singing.
Oh, that's fitting that our first exposure to her vocals is in her official debut as vocalist then! We will have to check out more clips of her singing to appreciate her skills! 😊😊😊
Moonbyul has been growing in her confidence. Don’t know if you have seen their solos.. but go through these Snow, eclipse, iljido, absense, then the is a cover she did that blew me away. I cannot remember the name right now. Will get back to you.
That's great that she's feeling more confident! We've only seen the title tracks so far - paint me is the furthest back we've gone yet. Thanks for the link, we'll take a look, and look forward to hearing some of their solos!
I'm so glad that you two finally reacted to "Paint Me"!!!! I really enjoy this song, and the vocal queens who are Mamamoo never disappoint! Thanks for your reaction! ; )
yeah u guessed it right, this is an introduction for their prject. so i guess you are ready for an introduction video. i recommend purple hawke's which has 2 parts ;) love ur reaction
The dresses with their colors gave it away. I think we'll be going with Purple Hawke as it's the one that's mentioned the most, so seems like it'll be informative! :)

Paint Me was an introduction to their 4 seasons project. It presented the members colors, which as you guessed was their album Moon- Red Moon: Single Egotistic Hwasa- Yellow Flower Single:Starry Night Solar- Blue;s: Single: Windflower Wheein- White Wind Single: Gogobebe
Love how cohesive this all is. We need to listen to the 4 seasons bsides soon! The title tracks were all amazing, so we're sure there'll be lots of gems!
To answer your question- Hwasa actually has the widest vocal range in the group. She can sing very low (as you know) and also has a very beautiful head voice and falsetto, which reactors often mistake for whistle register (it’s not, but it’s realllllly high). You’ll see when you watch more live performances that she often carries the high end of harmonies because her head and falsettos are both very heavy, lush and supported sounding, compared to someone like wheein who has a super silky smooth, breathy and light higher range. Hwasa mainly sings in her chest and mix, though, because she has soooo many different vocal colors there that she’s perfected.
There is a new live medley video done on Dingo on UA-cam. Totally amazing. I love this song. A lead track which was issued on the Yellow Flower Mini album. A very strong release. Brilliant.
We actually saw the medley yesterday. They sounded so good, Solar was going all out! Love how when it’s dingga and starry night they have to do the hand movements. And paint me is beautiful! Would love to hear it live in person.
@@teacupfury6133 I just looked and Mamamoo's 4 hour concert from 2019 is on UA-cam. The first song is this song. Search for Mamamoo 4S F/W Concert Complete.
Yes, Paint Me is referring to the 4 Seasons 4 Colours project! I don't know how much you know about the concept itself outside of your videos, but each member is singing about the stage in a relationship they represent. Wheein-White-Winter: You're not in a relationship. You're a blank slate, having fun by yourself or with friends Hwasa-Yellow-Spring: You're in the honeymoon phase of the relationship. You're still new with your partner, and love spending time with them as much as possible Moonbyul-Red-Summer: The relationship is heating up, and your emotions are everywhere. A state of passion that (in this specific relationship) can lead to split ways if not handled correctly Solar-Blue-Autumn: The relationship didn't work out, and you're left in a state of sadness and self reflection. Paint Me is a beautiful song that expresses this concept simply, along with the imagery of each experience in the relationship colouring you like paint. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for the reaction! P.S.: If you still haven't decided which intro guide to do, Purple Hawke's intro is the most up to date and is split into parts for easier digest. Hope you check it out!
Ooo thank you. We knew each project had a different colour and season assigned, but we only know the title tracks atm. We hadn’t dove into the bsides or overarching message yet. Your description of each has us more intrigued, and makes total sense with what we know from the title tracks. I think that’s the guide we’ll be going with, we’ve seen it recommended a few times so it seems like the go to!

I agree. Though a lot of people think it’s Wheein, because in MMM songs often the high notes are given to Solar and Wheein. But when you actually listen to a lot of Mamamoo live performances, covers, and demos, you’d realize that Hwasa has the widest range. I mean, of course ALL of them can hit the notes (VOCAL QUEENS 👸🏻), but Hwasa seems most comfortable with a wider range and it’s often well supported and clear regardless if it’s low or high. It’s the reason why she can change into so many vocal tones and colors effortlessly.
Paint me is pre-release song before 4 season project which is represent member color in their respective album...
That’s what we suspected when we saw their colours in the MV. Such a gorgeous song!
This song is so beautiful and Moonbyul singing PHENOMENAL
