Even just replacing my knackered boot struts for my 350Z, 5 minute job right? WRONG! 2 of 4 bolt heads broke off leaving the shafts still inside. Literally hours of research and trial and error, still only got 1 of the bolt shafts out. This is why I'm leaving damn near everything to professionals to mod my R8.

It was mistakes like reusing the original bolts for the boot struts that got me to buy a whole bunch of brand new ones to use and now I got stuff like an aftermarket cat-back exhaust on without a hitch. I'd much rather a missing boot strut than a missing exhaust. 😆 Not sure how it is on your side of the world but over in the UK, early V8 R8s and and early R35s are pretty identical pricing. The GTR was a very strong contender for me to get but the R8 just edged out because manual. I think I may prefer the R8 as a car but the fact it isn't anywhere near as moddable as the GTR is a big downer. It's a beast of a car and I would have 100% done this blow off valve mod if I had one. Guess I am also a "JDM Boiiii" at heart and its vids like this that make me conflicted on my car choice lol.
@pkbeast id only take a r8 over a 35 if it was a v10 personally, but for reference the cheapest r8 listed at the moment is $120,000. I got my GTR for $90,000 so a considerable difference. Can get a GTR for 80 now depending on condition which is crazy. Let’s face it, the only car people that don’t love turbo noises are liars 🤣 because they’re lying to themselves haha. Sounds good man! Im putting a gfb diverter valve that has the 2 way atmosphere and back into turbo inlet lever on my borg efr9174 to replace its stock diverter valve on my barra, iv got that turbo on a Artec stainless manifold, im nearly finished getting this project finished, just gotta build dump pipe for it now. I cant wait to see how it goes.

5 minute job for me = 5 business days give or take, to allow for replacement parts or a qualified mechanic to arrive hahaha

can you make these flutter/dose? by blocking off the bov? or it'll show errors?
I know you can make them flutter by putting a stiffer spring in the bov. Unsure if blocking them would freak the car out.
