De Ja Vu 4 weeks later! The 2022 North Carolina Tar Heels will always have a soft spot in my heart for what they did to this guys farewell season. The true meaning of poetic Justice!
Gave him his very first loss as duke coach and his very last.
Lol!! Tar Heels cut him deep with a loss in his final game at Cameron..
And then again in his last game ever in the final four. You don't know how often this guy deflated our tarheels.
Dean Smith would have started the celebration with, "I want to congratulate Coach K and Duke on a well-played game. They earned it." I know in the press conference well afterwards Coach calmed down, but Dean would have made a point to say it to the crowd.
Because Dean had real class. Coach K is a lot better than his mentor Bobby Knight, and he tries his best, but in the end you keep coming back to who you were taught to be. And he can't quite get over the anger and harshness, so he rips his team and later RIPS HIS OWN FORMER PLAYERS ("you all played bad sometimes too"). No credit to opponent, no graciousness.
He never has given his conquerors any credit, just excuses why he lost or as he says "wost"
"Do you hear that, Fezzik? That is the sound of ultimate suffering."
As a Tarheel fan, last nights win, was equivalent to winning an NCAA Championship, IMO. Because last nights win was historical against our most hated rival! UNC will always be the team remembered beating down Mike "Cry"zyzewski, in his last home game. HISTORY!!!!
Facts I been saying I don't even care what happens from here on out, nothing will top this moment.

@Grant Propst there’s no denying coach k is the goat… but duke is nowhere near the best team this season or the best program historically….. they are up there but a couple programs are in front of them.

I'm a Memphis tiger fan..so I have nothing to do with the rival, but I do know UNC would be the last team that he'd wanna lose to on his last game in Cameron lol. However, I don't think he owes anyone an apology. He's done so much for Duke University and even more for college basketball. Great job coach, you'll be missed.

He has a good point. Final game in Durham, but not the final game of the season. There are still the conference championships next, and then most likely, March madness, unless they lose early in the conference championshios, and even then with their current season's record, they may still get in at the absolute worst.

I'm basically a Coach K hater, but you cannot help but to respect the heck out of the guy. I love the fact that he lost the final game in his house. Nevertheless, it's plain to see that he still has that fire. He is right. The season isn't over and I wouldn't count him out. Coach K may have lost the battle yesterday, but it is for certain that he won the war.
