I'm amazing that his own voice/style on the violin is so strong and unique that he even made a sad piece like this sound kind of jazz-bluese-like at some parts:P It was still a great performance though
@@laipo1175 all theese recordings of him are going to live on and artist it the future can try to be like heifetz and this man....now heifetz has been beat.....this guy could do a heifetz impression but heifetz could not do an impression of him.....this guy was more authentic than heifetz.....I don't know.....what do you think....
He has been suffering from mental breakdown and has not been able to perform, according to a few commenters on youtube. So sad. I hope he gets all the help that he needs and recovers soon.

PROBLEM: sound and movement are not synchronized. Stronger suggest xuyaoyork (uploder) fix it. Because this is a so moving music and Chuanyun Li interpreted so well.
Mr.Chuangyun Li is a very good violin-player but in this pieces emotions and nostagia are wanted and this is not his speciality. Also his variations are unnecessary, the music is speaking for herselves. I am very sorry to write this because I respect him very well.
People from Asia have to play only technical exercises and probably will be the best in the world insome moment , but the music is other think and ...............

Right on! Chinese people have gone through similar massacres during Japan invasion and human experiments by the 731 unit similar to Mengele. It’s just not as well know globally as the Holocaust. As a Chinese, I have watched many many documentaries about the Holocaust, but I can’t watch a single documentary about Nanjing Massacre.
