I feel blessed to have randomly stumbled upon this band, been listening to their whole discography, rarely have I found a band that so consistently kicks so much ass!
First time watched or even learned about the comet is coming was when I was tripping of mushrooms. 2:57 that part made me cry. I still don't know why but I get chills whenever this song comes on. Very moving moment.
this is one of the few songs i can say never gets old. it doesn't matter how many times i listen, but every time feels like the first. that's something very few musicians are able to achieve.
Quel son endiablé.Musique.Cuivrée d'énergies en transitions, joies, chaos frénétiques.Puis le cri ultime sous un clip créatif, une oeuvre au diapason. Magnifique. I took a six month break from BBC 6 music. This was one of the first things that caught my attention when I started listening to the station again. i'm a fan now.
This video makes me feel like when i was 7 yrs old and wonder off on tv where i wouldnt understand much of what i was watching but my mind would wonder off and stay watching till its over or i fell asleep with the tv on . .... Love the music its catchy
I'm honestly breathless after listening to the new The Comet is Coming LP - what a ride. Hold tight drums, cosmic calm, punk's balls, epic sci-fi prog rock synthscapes & Shabaka Hutchings jazz rooted saxaphonne spearhead. A battle cry for love to come out swinging - on repeat.
I'm just recently discovering this group and am blown away by the angst and gritty staccatos eminating from the sax, I listened to their discography last night and became a fan; where do I get my t-shirt from?
Yesterday a friend suggested The Hu to me and then Zeal and Ardor on Spotify. Eventually came over to see what they had on UA-cam. This morning this happens. I like that, I like that.
It's that kind of song that's casual on the paper, but it's somehow so good and powerfull that it makes you shiver from tippy toe to the very inside of your bones.
I’ve seen them twice live, at Le Poisson Rouge and two weeks ago at Mercury Lounge and they are better live than on the albums and that proves how good they are. Truly. Savage sets.
From now on, whenever I blast off into space on a daring, heroic mission to save all of mankind, this is the song that is going to be continually playing in the background on repeat! 😎
My sincere wish is for the 3 of you to come back together sometime in the future rejuvenated and refreshed and inspired. Can't wait to hear what happens in between, of course.
Reminds me of that chord progression at the end of Yes' Starship Trooper. Sounds like an adaptation of it in more than one place. Which is, of course, wonderful - so this is a big compliment

Wow. I'm a massive Hawkwind fan going back loads of years… back in the 70s, they had this sax player called Nik Turner. The band were doing proper space rock, with loads of sax like this, with more effects and so on (albums like In Search of Space, Warrior On The Edge Of Time, Hall Of The Mountain Grill, etc.). A few years ago, I was lucky to have Nik play at a gig I organised for a biker charity. That totally blew me away (especially when he only wanted £50 to turn up!). So as you can imagine, I love stuff like this. Yes, I know it's not Nik obviously - though he's still playing - this tune makes me smile a lot. Definitely a decent successor to Nik Turner and Hawkwind. 😎
I agree! Definitely a Hawkwind (Warrior on the Edge of Time) vibe. Also, I feel a connection/vibe with "Kids in America" by Kim Wilde...towards the end of the song.
