    Really nice set up. Very well thought out. Chris Lord Alge just uses default settings on all his analog gear so no recall needed. He has a wall of it set up to do anything he needs. You need a patch bay for the analog I/O stuff.

    DAMN?! You sure certainly have some experience coming from somewhere. VERY INSIGHTFUL!! If ever I spot any of those ‘500’-format modules, the ones with the backplanes, I know you’re serious and you are not fooling around. Listening to you share your take on all this gear, I’ve got to wonder whether you were already at this before you were even born? It can take a long great number of years to make many of the observations that you have. Meaning that you aren’t very stubborn, and you are very likely a very ‘open to suggestions’ type of guy. That’s a key attribute that will enable you to evolve, and probably has already saved you a ton of money. GREAT WORK! THANKS FOR SHARING!

    What is the use case of the Tegeler Audio Creme RC, when you have the Bettermaker Mastering Equalizer?
    They're both mastering EQs, different styles, but they should do the same thing. And I would say that Bettermaker have been at the top of the VST controlled analog gear game for quite a few years now, so their Mastering Equalizer should be the best. Why the Creme RC, then?
    Wanting to buy one of them, but can't really decide...

    • @Jonsine
      @Jonsine  4 роки тому

      Booth good I use the bettermaker on the master and the Creme as a busy eq and compressor most of the time but sometimes I only use the Rc depends on the sound and vibe

    Pretty epic setup man! This is way closer to mastering setups I have seen rather than production, but epic none the less!
    My primary work (now during Covid at least) is mixing and mastering work...you definitely have the mindset for that, almost more than production if I dare say so haha.
    I only say that because 90% of producers I have met are the polar opposite of mix engineers, in fact the general mentality is "well the feel is great, so here you go mix engineer....fix the technicalities" lol.
    Epic stuff man.

    • @miqueas1992
      @miqueas1992 4 роки тому

      @@TheMessenger212 hey man. It depends a lot on the project, but generally $200 a mix, $100 a master (super rough estimate...depends on number of tracks, deadlines, and vocal quality, or if I really want to work on it haha).

    Sounds like you don't really know what your gear does and you're just buying analog for the sake of analog hoping to like it after you have already spent your money.
    Even stranger for someone who tends to not mix with plugin emulations of analog gear.

    Nice room, but I hope you have that osb floor sealed up by now, that stuff is way more toxic than you might imagine, you're probably getting headaches and metabolic issues if you haven't. Not going to be making much music if you're sick all the time.

  • @firstnamesisaband
    @firstnamesisaband 4 роки тому +2

    I know the music sounds great in the room, and that was your top objective, but how well does it keep sound in? I’m asking because I want to build the sound absorbers in my garage all around, but idk how well it will act as soundproofing. Probably a tough question to answer but I’ve been wondering. Thanks! Keep up the great videos 🙏

    • @joellouisfire
      @joellouisfire 4 роки тому +1

      Sound proofing and acoustic treatment use different methods. As far as I know, only construction-based sound proofing will help keep sound in. Something that may help though, weather seal your doors and windows, they might help keep sound out by removing any gaps around your door/window frame.

    • @CaptainZuurpruim

    How do I explain this. In the past when making records as far as our tracking rooms or our mix rooms when doing recall it was apart of life.
    I would not even have to ask the eng to do it for me. They just knew. They would pull re call sheets and get it dune. It was kind of fun. This was part of making records or mixing. Not just on the gear but on the consoles. Now on a vintage console like the 80,s series neve was diff then and the mix room with a 9k console. Bands knew once we strike the console and gear that’s it. No going back. Made band s have to commit. Now a days everyone wants to many chances.
