Great video. I usually avoid long videos, like over an hour long, just because of the time it takes to watch them. Yours was an exception and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I'll bookmark this one for future reference. We all benefit from your friendship with Mr. Fowler. You two make a good team. I thought I heard a little clicking sound while it was sewing. Perhaps the needle clamp is ever so slightly touching the needle bar shaft. I had that issue with a machine I worked on some time back. Might be worth looking at. Thanks for all the work you did with this project and sharing it with us.
Marie made a statement she gets grief by viewers about some things she's says about false information. According to the Singer manual - Part # 20340 Instructions for Using Singer Electric Sewing Machine 201-2, Pg 28-29 It states gears concealed by gear cover (E2 Fig. 28) are to be oiled through lube hole (E Fig. 23). I have seen her in several videos resorting to the manuals. Rest assure she has a manual with her while she's assembling these machines. I have not seen where she has given out any false information in any of her videos. Reason why I like watching her videos, She's very informative on what she does. Another great painting of a sewing machine. With that Rollie Pollie looking bird sitting on the stump, It reminded of Angry Birds. An Angry Bird theme, that would be cool. I don't know how many hours of my life I spent playing Angry Birds. I'm still tossing around some the ideas of inlaying that cast Singer emblem. I'll throw some more ideas at you.
Thank you!! I actually attached a link in the description of this video to a downloadable copy of the adjusters Manual for these machines, for anyone interested 😊
Beautiful Marie. My 201 that I built has a different spool pin. I will email you a solution. She really is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. P.S. Did that silver spool pin plate come with that machine???
Hi. No, she didn't come with a plate. But she was in bad shape. There isn't a center hole for the pin. I'm going to order some shiny 5/8" hole plugs to give her a pretty finish.

What a monster of a machine to put together! I had faith and knew you could do it!
Thankyou for the detail, I wouldn't be touching these machines if it wasn't for you, Bob and Jen!
Great video! You and make a great team.
Looks and sounds like new!
❤😊She beautiful wow Marie once again Awesome job peace from NYC 😊
You can hang up a yellow jacket decoy nest to keep them out of the shop. The machine turned out lovely.
Absolutely Gorgeous.
Hey Maria, Spool pin plate. Center hole in plate is for tapered spool pin. The other holes are for oiling. Snap plate in and install spool pin.
Normally, I would think so. But the center hole on the plate did not have a matching hole in the casting like most other 201-2s. Odd
