In the uk, decades ago now, simplifying the story for youtube. A sikh brother had gone through some stuff and was suicidal about to jump off a bridge. A drunk pakistani man yelled at him pulled him down and gave him a whack. "Dont you know that suicide is a haraam death" dragged him to the local masjid , popped his beer outside before going in 😅 and left him there with people. The sikh converted to Islam and would tell this story he never found the drunk man again but prays for him a lot.

Back in 2004, I stayed for 2 months in Turkey as part of an exchange program for Uni Students. Gotta admit, I didn't expect how casually beer has become in the daily lives of young turks. Coming from Malaysia where meeting a drinking muslim is very rare, Turks saw me as strange for not only not drinking, but not smoking and praying. I could have complained on and on about this, but I knew I would be interacting with the people for the next 2 months so I took it cool. Made some good friends there and even got my housemate to go for friday prayers, even though only 1 time. He new I was practicing and respected it because I don't try preaching to him so in the face. Rather I just practiced as I would always do. Maybe simply showing by actions is better dakwah than preeching in this situation

I as a Turkish person have to point out that a lot of non-religious and even atheist Turks unfortunately do use Allah’s name casually without even thinking about it - back in my teenage years I even had a friend who was a proud atheist and still used Allah’s name when saying goodbye (In the Turkish language/culture people say “May Allah be with you” as a form of “goodbye”/“see ya”).. Thought I’d point this out because there’s a chance that those people who asked for help to get their beer bottle opened might not simply have been Muslims who sin by drinking, but actually could have potentially been atheists who use Allah’s name without thinking much of it, Allahu Alam of course though and may Allah guide them and all of us.

I'm Turkish muslim as well and even if they practice and pray they dont pray as our prophet saw prayed in sahih hadiths. Our prophet saw said "Pray like im prayed" there is no man salah and woman salah in Islam. There is only one salah and it is like our prophet Muhammad's salah how he prayed. When i research about this i see how we get astray. Becsuse there is a book called "Namaz Hocası" (Hoja of the Salah) and its says do this and do that without any reference from our prophet (saw) No evidence. We are muslims because we believe there is only One God Allah and prophet Muhammad (saw) as is His messenger and servant. We muslims should follow our prophet saw without any doubt. If there is Sahih Hadiths that means it is sunnah of our Prophet saw. This is how we learned how to practice Islam. So if you are a Turkish muslim research about this first because Salah is the most important pillar of Islam after Shahada. Pray as Our prophet Muhammad saw prayed brothers and sisters dont pray like Namaz Hocası. May Allah guide us all and grant us Jannatul Firdaus 🤲

as long you're alive there is always hope, just like if pharaoh had repented allah would've forgiven it, you too are not expelled from allah mercy .
Say: "O 'Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
