There is a Nautica Polo I believe 2XL that sold on Ebay for crazy amount over $1000… do you know why? I can’t figure that one out.. lol .. i have been a reseller for almost a year and have tried a little bit of everything.. I am now focusing on men’s everyday casual clothing, surf wear and outdoor … I like your business model with this. Thank you for sharing. Been watching your channels for a long time and this particular one was perfect timing for me to watch😊
New sub. I lost my job in October. I have a shed of stuff, not clothes, cool antique and vintage stuff. I’m thankful for your videos. I’ve been watching a lot about shipping. I have taken pics and cataloged stuff. I just need to get more understanding on the shipping aspect. Yesterday I watched and took lots of notes on the shipping video. Thank you. I know I just gotta do it. And... I need a catchy name...lol. Argh!
Hey Chris. Can you do a video about best offers, whether you offer or not, and responding to them? Always a pleasure. I’ve grown my store to over 200 items in less than two weeks just listening to your listing habits.
Haha I sold those same color block Levis for like $55. Crazy what people will pay. I agree with the home runs. I love having them in my store, but it does make me worry. Just got frauded out of a $300+ item, so that sucked. Totally used me as a rental...but whatever. Blocked them and moved on. Every time I sell a high end item, I pray that it sticks and nothibg fishy happens. And I'm counting down the days until those 30 days for returns is up. I'm blessed that I have enough capital now though where I can absorb those blows though. I can chalk it up to what it is, handle it and move on. Before, having a $300 item returned to me because it was used as a rental or whatever else would have broke me, because I was overleveraged and trying to grow fast by looking for quick flips. Things I could buy for large dollars that were highly desirable and would sell fast if I priced correctly. I've now built my store up to an ASP of around $70, and I always wonder if maybe I should have my focus more towards the cheaper items, since they can move faster at times and there is less fraud. However, I will say that the counter to that is that the cheaper items, I tend to see more returns, because the customers are more picky and finicky about their items. Just my experience.
Another great one. I'm with you only selling ordinary stuff. My goal is all my items between £20-£30. That way I don't have to worry if i get a return and people are unlikely to try scamming for a £25 pair of used Levi's or Hilfiger jeans.
Thanks for this great video! I'm just curious do these brands still stand as of today May 2022? I can definitely pick up pretty much everything that you've mentioned.. I'm just starting to get into clothing.. Are there any brands you can think of for 2022 to add to the list? Thanks so much! Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for the vid as usual many good tips. About free shipping some of them do it but they charge higher price so they match the cost of shipping anyway :)
Of course. I took his advice and have fixed price shipping. I don’t think it has made a difference in my sales. I do my listings based on how I shop. I look at shipping info for some items. But it never stops me from purchasing something I want.
On common items like this I'd say so. I'm not sure if a buyer would be turned off by stock photos on a pre-owned pair of Sean John jeans but it's a time waster for the seller. "Adequate" is the key word when listing these items. Good enough photos and description is sufficient.
My question is, how are you making any profit selling mens jeans for $20 on ebay when most jeans way over 1lb.? It cost around $8 to ship, plus what you paid for them, minus ebay fees.... I dont understand when sellers on ebay do this. Are you guys ok with making a $4 or $5 profit...? Is it making a $6 prifit 100 times in sells.....
@@cavelleardiel Oh yeah that's with tracking right ? It's almost the same price as switzerland with tracking. Hopefully, I have sold 40+ items these last 2 weeks WITHOUT tracking and there was 0 fraud, no one tried the "I didn't receive my package !", I pay 50% less on shipping like that lol If I was to ship internationally I 100% would track the shipping, I have heard so many horror stories about chargebacks, not "receiving" the item etc.. Do you do international ? How do you handle local import taxes and clearance fees ?

I edit every photo. 18w is very popular. Inseam measurement on pants is essential.
Learned more! Love your channel! 😊 thanks

😂 The intro got me asking people at work what just happened
I continue to learn from you. I have watched your videos from the beginning. My business profits have increased because of your videos. Thank you.
How were you able to get the a higher price for the used nauctia sweater than the new one lol? Definitely impressive!
None of this is fashionable in the UK 😅😂. Not 1 male in the UK is gonna wear dungarees even if they are Carhartt
Haha ha ha haha so true! Plenty of easy brands to sell here though.
Hey Chris do you think photos of pre owned products can look too professional?
