I like the fact that I can easily hit it with a rag and break clean to get crud off of it.

Hi Doc, Love your videos. I watched this video on scrapper tools and bought an Ares scrapper on Amazon. This one is good size (12" long) and has a thicker edge to it. On one side of the edge, it has some square cut outs. The handle is flat and not all that comfortable, but the tool seems robust. Since you appear have every tool or variety of tool imaginable, you might look at it. Sandy

Hopefully you have a separate dishwasher for tools and you aren't putting tools with who knows what contaminants in the same machine as the plates and utensils you eat with!

Yeah, was thinking the same thing. Feel like a ultrasonic cleaner would be a healthier solution

Hey Doc, any thoughts on how this tool was fabricated? I’m a hobby machinist, and have done a little bit of every kind of metal work including stamping, sheet forming, and welding. I’m guessing the blade itself was stamped, and the handled forged from tubing. Then everything welded, ground, and buffed. I guess we’ve all seen flatware like this - it’s probably made much the same way. Interesting!

I love vintage scrapers and putty knives, and never pass one up. I'm here for scraper week if you go that route! But serious question.... why does every tool now have a useless bottle opener cutout just to add another function to it. It's getting a little ridiculous.

Had a Tajima one in my hand the other day in the hardware store. Felt really nice and solid. You can’t fault the quality of their knives and tape measures, so its probably good.

Not a big fan of 5 in 1s in general. I have scraper, putty knives, and paint keys. Most rollers are disposable because the amount of time and effort are not cheaper than replacing it.

The American made Warner full flex putty knives are the best, this well I just don't use these painters combo tools.

The dishwasher in your kitchen? Don’t others, significant others, question that?

That is definitely different, i like the all metal handle. To bad it is Chinese made.
Most everything in my drywall bucket is Wal Board. I have had good luck with them. They are older but still perform well.
I had to laugh about the dishwasher tool cleaning. I hadn't thought of that before. The entire inside is stainless steel so it wouldn't cause any issues i guess.
Thanks for the video and review brother.

That sounds fairly cheap for stainless steel, does it say what grade of material it is, how magnetic is it? Lower grade stainless is a bit magnetic apparently.

Hard to want to pay $12 for the made in China version when the standard Warner plastic 5 in 1 works great for what they are and are made in the USA for $7

I put my drain cleaning machine in the dishwasher after every use but it pisses my wife off to no end.

I was reaching for the credit card up until "made in China" - not that it's necessarily going to be poor quality.
