I have all the respect in the world for farmers, there are so many problems they have to deal with and so many are completely out of their control. They're at the mercy of the elements constantly, AND rogue cats! 😼 More people understanding what goes into farming would benefit everyone.
Paw patrol 🐾 😂😂😂 you’ll be so happy when the yard is covered at last, Tom. Another storm on way 😅 Emily will keep the workers coming back for more 🧋🧁🧇 Dead right on with the plasma cutter idea. Making your own parts would be.great. British Steel should be nationalised too!!!
Red alert 80 mph and rain for us in North Devon. Well done Emily with the food and drink keeping the workers happy. Tom we have farmers here who put glass in the concrete to stop the rats burrowing into it where food is stored.
Hello Tom! Ian from Canada here. Enjoying your vids...thought maybe some merch with a cat on it with your hand posting at it saying get off the concrete David! Could be both amusing and popular with your fans... What do you think about that then?🤔 Keep the vids coming. Cheers🍻🤟💪✌️🇨🇦🏴☠️
Emily knows the way to a man's heart, via our mouths. Can't work on an empty stomach so better to keep them happy. Hope u buy some cat wellies for ur four legged friends to protect their feet !!! The sun shines on the righteous so u must be ok. 👍 Cheers, Poth.
The people commenting about the fibres clearly have some reading to do Tom. It's fine, there are multiple forums dedicated to concrete, and people who regularly work with it see it used for warehouses, loading bays, and car parks. Now yes, different concrete is better for different applications, and in your case it should be okay, as long as the actual concrete is of good quality and most importantly, the soil below it is stable and will not wash away. It's not like this concrete is floating and working with rebar or mesh is just a pain as you will need to prevent it sinking to the bottom.
I did some deliveries to your yard what seems like a lifetime ago and I remember it was a pig in the rain (not helped by all the random shite just dumped haphazard). Looks a million times better now lad, proud of you, nearly done now. Tom Lamb, a concrete wizard! 👍
Good job getting the concrete in, I hope it survives the night intact. Seems like David was studying the job to make sure he found the proper soft spot to make his mark. Have a good weekend Tom.
It's not the ambassador It's Emily that spoiling you lol Can't beet a bacon butty With technology you need fibre lol Paw cat, he was only checking the rain wouldn't damage the finish lol Great update Thanks Tom Take care all Geoff
Fibres are great for crack control which is what you are after with a ground bearing slab. They replace mesh reinforcement. They're rarely used on their own without rebar when you have an application where the concrete is spanning a soft spot, or say a concrete beam without continuous support. Another benefit of polymer fibres is that you are negating the inevitable corrosion of reinforcement which leads to spalling/cracking of the concrete.
Great video Tom i see David and Alan are on the prowl again you don’t think it’s all the burgers you got for free that might have something to do with it 😁 👍👍
Top video Tom, let's be honest it's not a proper machinery show if there isn't hot food available. 😉. Nearly spit my brew out when you went for the burnout on the rubber mat and the handbrake wasn't fully on, credit for the quick reaction though. 🤣. Concrete on your farm is not considered certified as suitable unless it has been stamped "Approved" by Dave who is obviously training Alan to take over. 🤔👌👍.
David the legend and now he has apprentice to train. I feel he is maybe a Jedi...... missing for days then you say concrete and he appears.... watch it Tom he may pull a light saber on you!
I think Candle lamps would of been better Tom lol. Yea have you seen the tax bracket them range rover and 4x4 are going to be! 2001 to 2017 that were £500 odd up to £750 and the 2017 upwards are going to be £2750ish lol it's ok if you can afford it lol ❤
Another great video Tom. Can you make the blades that you want to plasma cut out of sheet steel double ended? So when they are worn you can flip them over and use the other end for probably about a third more material? I think the 207 needs a light bar on the roof. When is the David the concrete cat merch coming out?!
Don't you just know that as soon as a Concrete job sets off it is too much of a challenge for every Cat within a ten mile circle. I just wanted to ask, will you by any chance be attending the next Earnest Doe show in Febuary the 4th to the 6th. Always a good event. Thanks for posting....
You should have brought a hamburger home for the cats to keep them busy and off the concrete. Though it probably wouldn’t have made it home Tom. Fingers crossed for another dry day to get more concrete before Christmas.
I believe your idea of getting the subsoiler leg file from the manufacturer and then making your own with a CNC cutter or 3D printer is the way things will be in the not too distant future. Not exactly sure how the pricing will work - it's only fair that the manufacturer gets some kind of payment each time you use their file. I love both bacon sandwiches and hot chocolate - but the two together is to me a revolting combination!
GO ON DAVID :) ... G00D Call With Concrete Timing Big Man ... Have A L00K See At Snowball Engineering And The CnC Plasma AND Oxy Cutting Table He's Got Does All You Have Mentioned And Its .... Plasma AND Oxy Cutting... peace
Lad on the power float with white trainers 🤷♂️ not sure the company will give you a file to cut out your part as they would only get paid once and you could cut out loads and flog them to local farmers😂 things like subsoiled legs would be easy to draw your own anyway, getting hold of the right grade steel at the right price might be another matter.
We’re all sure your “looking fat” has nothing at all to do with you eating two sandwiches at the tractor show after eating biscuits and bacon with hot chocolate earlier. Nothing at all !!
CAT scan completed, David has OK'd the job.
Came for the farming, stayed for David and Alan
Loving the videos Tom but I’m here for the cats 😻😂😂
Three hoodies and 2 cobs make Tom a big lad. After the next batch of concrete david and Alan will go into hibernation. Until the next one stay safe
David is doing a good job of quality control and compression testing :)

You didn't bring me a bacon roll! The yard looks very smart. Well done.
I think they should call you "The Jolly Rancher" always a good smile on your face all the time!
"I'm not fat; its my clothes. " LOL
Came because UA-cam was forcing it down my throat. Stayed because Tom Lamb is the man
Thanking uou
Brilliant video Tom, as with everything you do it's done properly. And Emily is fast becoming a legend with her culinary skills, and plant driving. 👍👍
Absolutely

18:00 great content again
Tom,
You need to train Alan and Dave to work the screed.
The concrete novelty will fade quickly then 😂
Red alert 80 mph and rain for us in North Devon. Well done Emily with the food and drink keeping the workers happy. Tom we have farmers here who put glass in the concrete to stop the rats burrowing into it where food is stored.
NO it has to be 88 mph lol

Well said Tom. Just been watching GBnews also

Excellent video Tom - great idea re the plasma cutter
Thanks 👍
You say what you think and this is so pure, please keep doing that and be real 😊 this range rover vs 107 so good
Thank you! Will do!

Rain, cats... The trials and tribulations of a concrete pour. 😄
That was a smart move to cancel the concrete - it's not like the order was set in stone.

Great video again, Tom. That yard will look awesome when done. That cat of yours it just seams to have a thing about newly laid concrete.
Great video Tom the yard is looking smart 😊
Thanks 👍
well done tom
Fantastic video, David the cat sure is a concrete magnet!! Good skills getting free food. The offer to help sort the racking still stands lol
Working out replacement part licensing agreements *gosh darn* that's kool

nice bit of concreting even approved by David though i wonder if he was hanging around for his bacon sarnie or beef burger. Great video
Thanks from Canada

Is it the hoodies or is it the excess of bacon rolls? Or a bit of both? 🤗 David (Portland) can smell the fresh concrete from miles way 😂
Giving the little Peugeot abuse will never get old 😅

Watching Tom "steal" free stuff is great & as for le chat, you must have a high pressure water hose....
Tom, I’m looking to do some imprinted concrete in the new year can you advise the availability of David, Alan and the pigeon please😂🤣😂🤣
The local cats home will have plenty of cats
Hi Tom , Thanks for the video and a bit more time, When is the cat’s departure with footprints lol. Take care of yourself and stay safe.🚗🚗⭐️👍👌🎅🤶🎄

South Australia a few hours ahead
I'm not hungry but it's free!😁
Where is furze? In therms of concrete he has to help!

14:30 Yep, I knew it. White snout, pink nose. Cute as heck, but guaranteed trouble.
Interesting about the polymer fibres instead of the steel fibre or mesh, do you know approx what this cost per m3 ? Great video 👍
About 10 quid a cube
Could be worth chatting to snowball engineering from youtube about making legs etc
I already have
can you crush the stone from colins gaping hole?
Don’t you need rebar in it?
Ok. Just seen more of video
@@DarrenPhillips001 never do
@ I spoke too soon. Should’ve shut up until I saw all the rest of the video! Sorry.
Hey Tom, how far north do you do work? Im in Duns, Berwickshire.
Dont you need to harden /akneel parts of the metal after you cut it out?
🤷🏻♂️
👏👏👏👍👍
Real yobbo this cat! 😒
Weird not seeing rebar or any metal
How many burgers then TOM
👍
What's normal?
Nothing to do with Emily, Wendy and other bacon sandwiches then?..... that's OK then! Phew!
take measurements of the legs, change the overall shape of the legs and just make and sell your own?
👍🐑🎯
Plasma cutters don't look hard to program yourself, take a look at ollie, from Snowball engineering he does it all the time..
Thanks
should build a wall in colins frontdoor as a prank lol
It's a shame that Tom is so malnourished, look at him he's withering away 🙄
