What did you do with the yellow wire on the lowrance power cable?

I folded it back over the power cable and wrapped electrical tape around them to keep it out of the way. It doesn’t serve any purpose for this setup.

Did it work putting the bracket on the transducer upside down like that?

Yep! The way I oriented it, the transducer was still oriented in the right direction in the water
