    This helps so much! Now I finally have a visual of all the colors I have heard you talk about for a long time right next to each other. Now I really get an idea of their undertones and where they sit in the beige category. Thank you for sharing your stockpile of Sampilize with us! Lol

    my 2000 built house was purchased with sand dollar on the walls and Venetian gold countertops. I love sand dollar so much that I cannot change it. Currently repainting house. changed colors in the rooms but left sand dollar as the main color of the open layout house. Heading to your blog next to see what to do about these wood cabinets- about to paint them in something to go with the Venetian gold counters that Im not too crazy about. Love your videos. Considering accessible beige for the island of my east facing kitchen. need a warn white for the rest of the cabinets and another color for the walls ( currently sw creme that appears way too yellow for my liking)

    Thank you Kyle, you have been a huge help picking my color. I didn't want to go with Accessible Beige for our family room because I wanted to go away from the trend
    but your comparisons proved it to be the right choice. The room is a very bright southeast facing room and darker at night. I wish I found your site before choosing the color Restrained Gold that Accessible beige is replacing.

    I wish my peel-and-stick samples came the next day. I ordered directly from SW and it took over a week to get them.

      Ooo ya, the Sherwin Williams order is way different from Samplize. Samplize uses FedX and aside from some outstanding event, should be there the next day!

    Hi Kylie, I LOVE your videos and I am now addicted to Samplize! I have decided to go with Rivers Edge for the main color in my home, but I saw in another video that you do NOT recommend Pure White for the trim, so what color do you suggest?

    • @KylieMInteriorsPaint
      @KylieMInteriorsPaint  Місяць тому

      WAHOOOOOO. Okay, so it's okay with Rivers Edge, but...just okay. The tough thing is that River's Edge has orange-pink hues, and what do most of the BEST warm whites have? Yellow. It's hard to get a white that really floooooows with these types of beiges. This said, I'm a super weirdo about these things and not everyone gets THAT particular. I would take a look at BM White Dove and SW Pure White and see how you feel. You can also play around with beige off-whites and lightening them, but that's not IDEAL as they aren't flexible in the longterm.

    I really want to paint my interior accessible beige, but it is very similar to my cabinets... I'm worried it will clash! Do you have a recommendation on a color that wouldn't clash, or washout? My whole house currently is pure white. I watch all your videos and still need help lol!

    @kylieminteriors Kylie, can you tell me about SW Ivory Lace? I don't think I've seen you mention it and very few people seem to talk about it, but it draws me eye so much- looks like a gorgeous creamy deeper off white right in that LRV range I'm looking for- right now, my top three are SW Ivory, BM Soft Chamois, and BM Ballet White at 75% strength. I've heard you give love to Ballet White, but what are your thoughts on these other two contenders- I know they're different with soft chamois going a tad green and ballet white seeming more true beige to me. I want a definitely creamy look and they would be in mainly south, south-east facing rooms with one northwest-facing room.

      @KylieMInteriorsPaint  7 місяців тому

      Hey Brynna, I'd be happy to! Ivory Lace is a tricky one as it has a pretty high LRV, but isn't white. Sitting at 79, it's close to the white world, but is more of an off-white. However, the popular off-whites sit in the lower to mid 70s, making them popular on walls as they show a reasonable but not shocking contrast wtih the average white trim. I do liike that it has creamy bones, but a bit of beige for balance, so that it's not overly yellow. Like, if you compare it to SW Dover White and SW Creamy, you can see that bit more orange/beige in Ivory Lace, which is nice. But in comparing them, you might like that bit more commitment to cream in those two (you might also like BM White Down). Now compared to Ballet White it definitely looks creamier, but this is mostly because of its higher LRV, as Ballet White CAN look creamy in some situations - it just looks more beige 'compared' to Ivory Lace.

    What color cabinets should I do with SW Eider White Walls in a south facing room?

    Hi Kylie! Could you review Drift of Mist? Also, how does darkening by 25% change the lrv? Like 25% = 5 lrv? Thanks!

      I found a blog post that said it’s about 3-5 points, depending on the depth of the color.
