Oh Kylie, how did you know? Lol. Most of my rooms are Edgecomb gray with Cloud White trim. Just yesterday I decided to paint a few accent pieces in living room to add a pop of color as my furniture and carpet are in the same range as Edgewood. I was close to a S.W. Store so I popped in and thought….hey, this color looks ok ( it was Contented). Well no surprise to you I’m sure, but after letting it dry and lugging it back into the living room….😢😢😢. On a whim I typed in your name and saw you had actual colors to coordinate with my beloved Edgewood. So I’m off early this morning with list in hand to grab a few samples of the recommendations in the gray green category. I’ve followed so much of your advice over the last few years and have never been disappointed. Thank you for you keen eye and expertise!
Not only am I a Color Consultant, I'm a MIND READER!!! Let me know how it goes :) Now, I don't know your style, but off the top, I love SW Thunderous and BM Arctic Shadows, just as a few places to start (not like you don't have ENOUGH colors to explore...)
We need more of these paint colors that go well with each other videos. Can you do one with sherwin williams pure white and benjamin moore white dove 🙏🏼. I’m planning on painting the interior of my house soon and just ordered the samples from samplize but I’m thinking of doing accent walls and want to see what goes well with pure white or white dove since I haven’t decided between the two yet.
Oooo, this is a GOOD idea. However, the tricky thing with whites is that they love so...many...colors. I would be there for days! With the massive flexiblity of Pure White and White Dove, it will be MORE about a) your personal preferences for accent colors and b) which colors best play off your rooms finishes such as tiles/countertops/stone/fabric/etc... I mean, off the top, I love SW Evergreen Fog, SW Moody Blue, BM Chelsea Gray, SW Felted Wool - I could go on and on ;).
Your videos are informative and enjoyable. Perhaps I might have missed it, I can't find any on BM's Monterey White. Do you have one? If not, would you consider doing one? I am interested in it use as an exterior wall paint.
Help Kylie! First off I just think you are the best and love your videos! I paired Edgecomb Gray with BM Urban Nature in a hallway with chair molding (Edgecomb top, BM White Dove molding, Urban Nature on bottom) and I DON’T Like it at allllll! Before the painters do a 2nd coat and also paint an HUGE living room accent wall with picture framing the Urban Nature I need any advice on what other color to do?! Just do White Dove on bottom? Then what about accent wall? Any help! 💜
@@Colleen313 wellllll, truth be told, the most updated look is to have Edgecomb Gray below the molding! You could do White Dove but it’s best if there’s additional molding so it looks more like board n batten or wainscoting, then it would all be painted in trim color/sheen ☺️
@@KylieMInteriorsPaint Ahh thank you for responding! Board n batten is what I was thinking would look nice below instead of what we have which is just a single chair rail and it looks pretty much like not enough going on if I’m being honest…even though we are updating all doors and trim to more craftsman. Edgecomb Gray is our main color all over and figured continue to hall but it’s not working with that green and I don’t want a huge change order but I want the board n batten 🙈 and then you think Edgecomb below and something else above or if White Dove below with trim sheen and board n batten would be ok?
Hi Kylie, first of all great video regarding the Edgecomb Gray. I repainted my living and dining rooms that were BM Stonehouse (gorgeous colour) and updated with Edgecomb about 3 years ago, for a lighter feel in the room. It is so gorgeous in different light throughout the day. All the trim is Simply White, ( I am glad we agree on this choice too) I currently have a feature wall in my dining room that is a dark mocha brown, however I would like to change to a more saturated blue. Would love your opinion on blue choices please. My hardwood floors are a dark pecan finish, with an area rug with beige/gray and gray blues. So there is a wide range of colours in the carpet to pull out for the contrast colour. At this point I have earmarked Downpour blue, Symphony blue and Stunning blue. I am thinking I need to lean towards more of a dark blue with a gray undertone....thoughts please. Thank you :)
What about Vintage Vogue? I'm obsessed with that color and I love Edgecomb Gray but I want to make sure they will work together. Vintage Vogue being the accent wall in my bedroom with Edgecomb on the other walls.
This is awesome! I love your blog and videos, so informative and filled with inspiration for my quasi-tuscan mid 2000’s home. Can you please do a similar video featuring BM Ballet White? 🙏🙏🙏

Is there enough of a green undertone in SW Iron Ore to consider making it an accent with edgecomb grey? The stone featured in my home pairs closely to iron ore. My daughters and I have been sampling away and have fallen in love with edgecomb grey, and it’s timeless appeal and I appreciate the flexibility of it
I love some of the Greens you showed...but I'm curious if you can recommend a couple that would get along well with both with both Edgecomb Gray and Revere Pewter? I'm wanting to paint my living room 25% lightened Edgecomb Gray with interior Doors Revere Pewter and I think Chantilly Lace Trim or White Dove. What would you recommend to go with both colors as an accent wall? All of my furniture is a dark warm brown suede.
Hey Ginger! There are really so many! I love SW Night Owl, Pewter Green, Thunderous, even Rosemary. dark shades like Shade Grown are lovely too. I have a great blog post on greens too! www.kylieminteriors.ca/the-15-best-medium-to-dark-green-paint-colors/
@@KylieMInteriorsPaint thank you so much for the reply!!! I know you’re busy. I am obsessed with your color combinations and designs. If I was able…. I’d have you color consult my house! You are extremely talented
I need help! I want to do edgecomb gray in the lighter area then fog mist on darker side of home -den , but I have a kitchen adjoining the den so I need a lighter color than fog mist for the warm wood cabinets . Any thoughts anyone ? Fog mist and edgecomb play well together for sure
Without going through the whole list, I would say MOST, yes - I would only be careful with any of the colors that end up LIGHTER than your lightened Edgecomb Gray, as they could get fussy. And btw, I've seen Edgecomg 25% and 50% lighter and loved it equally as much (and maaaybe even a little more). Oh, one thing I would watch are the whites. White Dove JUST makes the cut at full-strength, but can be a touch creamy once EG is lightened. I'd stick with Pure White or Chantilly Lace :)
I feel like EDGECOMB is very similar to accessible beige. But you don’t usually have them as comparable colors. I think my perception of colors is nowhere close to what you see 😂😂
You know, you're not wrong at all! The BIG difference between these is the depth as Edgecomb Gray is softer than AB, but truly, one does pick up what the other is throwing down to a degree!
So glad you are back! Appreciate all the help with colors. I would like to put in a request for sherwin williams macadamia if possible. Thank you
I'm glad too, thank you! And I'll put it on my list!
Great comparisoms! Will you do a review on BM Cedar Key? I love all of your videos. Thank you so much!
You betcha!
The video I was looking for !!! I need slightly lighter for a darker adjoining room
Have you considered darkening Edgecomb Gray by 50%??
I could watch your videos all day!
Awww, I love to read that - thank you!

Could BM Palladian Blue work in an adjoining room?
It's a bit touchy, as Palladian can look a bit too clean for the dirtyness of Edgecomb Gray. It's not BAD though.
