Strnadova was pinned as one of the young rising stars of her generation. I think she was junior world no 1. Unfortunately she could not live up to the expectations.
This often seems to happen for whatever reason. I remember a German junior from the men's tour from the late 90s (Daniel Elsner) and he too was not able to find success on the senior tour after doing so well in the juniors.
