Thank you so much for doing all this, you just introduced me to the idea of having a nice/fun interior. I've always focused so much on stats and combat.... didn't even occur to me until I saw the inside and was like...... hmmmm, thats actually pretty cool
I loved this ship's profile so much, after building it I used its basic profile to create a ship of my own. My flight deck is offset, up and forward, and of course I have my nacelles with Jefferies tubes. 😂 Again, thanks!
Fabulous, thank you for building this. I was one of the viewers who requested The Normandy, and I’m delighted with your creation. I’ve had a Varuun Prophecy III and its six SA-4330s waiting in reserve for this so will be following in your footsteps in the next few days. I’m going to request the Ebon Hawk. I’ve done my best to channel my inner Ship Technician and have a version, but I know you’ll do it better. Keep up the great work.
A great build! Thanks for your instructions and continuing to teach us all these awesome builds. :) [I'd love to see what you would make with the AvonTech mod parts.]
I like the double-wide build, it's very cool and pretty rare. Would be nice if we had a double-wide cockpit. The game really seems biased to either single-wide or triple-wide builds, which makes a lot of ships look either too narrow or too wide. I've been struggling with this myself in my latest build, where I wanted to use the Stability Pro side-lander but that necessarily committed me to a triple-wide build that resulted in a much stockier ship than I was trying to go for.
The Nova Galactic 2x2 Living Quarters is also one of my favorites. In your setup due to the door placement you lose the pool table and the toilet (with an additional desk/chair). I think by switching the position of the captain's quarters and the workshop you can restore the pool table but lose the couch and tv area due to the door being created on the other side.
I rebuilt my star eagle to look very similar to this just now. I added a Nova Weapon Mount in front of the reactor to attach railguns, and used an alternate stroud cowling to mount equipment plates and turrets.
I did a Normandy tribute in the form of its sister ship, the Anzio. That way, I could take some liberties on its shape and not be "wrong" as it's technically not the Normandy. It looks tanfastic, is blazingly fast and agile, and holds to the weapons a Systems Alliance frigate would have.
I’m fairly new to builds. What ship are you starting with? When you say “parts shopping” do you mean attaching those elements to ship you are starting with? I didn’t think you could buy parts without attaching to a ship that passes the flight check?
It usually doesn't matter with which ship you start as you will not reuse a lot of pre-installed parts - only exception is the Razorleaf as even if you change every part pirates still think you are the Mantis. The term "parts shopping" means you have to attach the parts to your current ship and pass the flight check before finishing the build somewhere else. If you don't have an outpost ship builder you also have to do this for some of the structural parts used in this build.
So and idea……a fast start as Leon the Mantis child and you up grade the ship and make it so sooner or later you bump into a constellation member and start the main quest. This idea may be to big but
This looks great from the outside, but the inside doesn't match at all. But you can't have it all unfortunately 😢 This is the best exterior option I've seen by far though!
I know, I know…I actually built a version of this that had another 2x2 hab behind the cockpit, with a Class C reactor, but that moved the cockpit forward a bit too much for my liking, and it still didn’t match the interior. Would likely need mods to get it close
@ShipTechnician yeah I imagine so. Still ... this thing looks great and I might have to do my own build. Using the 2x2 is brilliant! I've tried using them several times but they're hard to use. I think your solution is very elegant
I have a few that provide more cargo: Destroyer: ua-cam.com/video/bFAG9tfJUmU/v-deo.html Falcon (class C version): ua-cam.com/video/o0udXlubsLE/v-deo.html Kom'rk (class C version): ua-cam.com/video/ybDmNz5gNG0/v-deo.html
Ugh I just wish there were more opportunities for space combat in this game. There's just 4 big space combat battles and 3 of them are random encounters. I'm on Max Difficulty, level 120 and I have used a single number of ship parts in my life. I don't even use the Particle Beam meta - just Horizon Defense auto lasers, ballistics and particle turrets on a Class B, for aesthetics. Give me a challenge.
If I didn't miss anything, according to the values shown in his video the total for all parts used adds up to $509,333.00 The weapons alone are more than half the cost of the build naturally. And 6 of the engines runs just over 110,000 by themselves.
I'm commander Shepherd and this is my favourite ship technician on the Citadel
Name doesn't check out.
Thank you for still doing vanilla builds
That is AMAZING dude! I love it! Makes me wanna build it ASAP!

4:50 'and you got explosives too! So it's save!' Hilarious😂😂
But really!: great intro, great shipbuild, given it's a vanilla.
Great job, as allways.

The build looks great.
Great channel and your best ship build bro! I absolutely love the shape of this thing. I'm looking forward for more creative beautiful spaceships👏
Such a beautiful star ship. Love the intro
Well done man. Awesome build it removes the best part the pool table in the nova 2x2

This video is an 11/10 on the intro alone.
Solid make, nice work.
Very nice build! I haven't tried the glitch-build feature yet, but I will eventually.
What an epic intro
luv it and built it!! now thinking of making the main part longer (modded) and maybe the engine pods
ah yeah the intro again, the epic moment the new SR2 got revealed... :)
nice one, thx.

Pretty darn good for a vanilla build.
Looks amazing!

I'm actually surprised there are no Mass Effect mods in Starfield. Been looking around, and only found a plethora of Star Wars mods.
Love it.

I love this idea. Even just adding on to the Mantis questline with unique villains, their hideouts, ship battles, etc., would be incredible!

Do you have a ship build that’s based on cargo? Wanting to have at least a fighter and then a cargo ship.
I have a few that provide more cargo:
Destroyer: ua-cam.com/video/bFAG9tfJUmU/v-deo.html
Falcon (class C version): ua-cam.com/video/o0udXlubsLE/v-deo.html
Kom'rk (class C version): ua-cam.com/video/ybDmNz5gNG0/v-deo.html

I hear you. If you’re interested, I built a mod that will give you that challenge: ua-cam.com/video/LYoRIivYVgM/v-deo.html
great vid could u make the enterprise
I got you: ua-cam.com/video/zm_XuOWdUQE/v-deo.html
Borg cube ? 🖖
He’s built this already, 45:20, ua-cam.com/video/zm_XuOWdUQE/v-deo.htmlsi=eG2xOrpScjf7PMup
Good news: I have been loaned a Steam Deck, so I can play video games again.
Bad news: Starfield doesn't work on Steam Deck. -_(\
About how much credit does this ship run?

@michaelw8896 thanks I have some pirate hunting to grind then the Normandy will fly agaib
