tempreture does affect pH. so cudos to Hanna for bringing this in calculation however is your pH probe was dried out on arrival it probalby is faulty. Cause once dried out a pH probe is broken. I suggest checking your pH in the next few days manually and see if it checks out with the value the probe gives. if not calibrate it and check again in a few days. if it keeps giving faulty values shortly after calibration (within a few days), it isn't wroking properly
Just regarding the calibration the reason why they say to use both probes is when calibrating PH probes you need a temp sensor as temp does affect PH reads
Nice, I opted for the Apex JR. it doesn't give me salinity but I have the hanna checker and refractometer that are both kind of quick at telling me what it's at so I was not that worried about it. This one cost more than the Apex JR I think as well.
