    I been binging your videos today... thanks for existing! I know what the softlight does and I actually mess with duplicated layers but I never really realized it's a good way to "dirty edit"

    I really like all of your videos! they are so helpful. I was wondering if you have a video on how to use Affinity tools for any sort of animation? for ex. GIFs I think are really nice to have on instagram to catch people's eyes, but I'm not sure if Affinity has such a tool? Thank you!

      @@OlivioSarikas Good evening Olivio. In the "text" function it is possible to integrate an example text in a text box and this text is in Latin. I wonder if it is possible to change this text for another one that I would have chosen.

      @@OlivioSarikas This function is the same for AP or AD. The "isometric" sub window is also very rich in mysteries for me. I enjoy exploring it but I think it is very much below its possible uses.

    Thank you for your wonderful tips and tricks, I wanted to know what happens when we flatten an image. I believe it makes the image size smaller but can it harm the image?

      It amkes the file size smaller and saves cpu and ram, but of course you now all your adjustments are rendered into that layer, so you can't change them anymore. So make a copy of the file before you do that

    How did you take directly the image from Unsplash to Affinity Photo? It doesn`t work for me (I have an active account on Unsplash). I have to go to the Unsplash site every time and download. Thank you.

      Hi Liviu, the new Affinity Photo version has a Stock function under "view->studio->stock" that you can use. if that doesn't work for you, simply download and import the images :)

      Hi Rofischerl, hm... hab ich in Affinity Photo noch nicht probiert. Ist aber ein interessantes Thema. Vor allem Ideen wie man sowas sinnvoll einsetzen kann :)

      Hi Joche, die Ebene ist warscheinlich noch "Image" statt "Pixel". Rechtsklick und dann rastern auswählen um die ebene in eine Pixel Ebene umzuwandeln.

      Hi Martin, years of training and Pinterest ;) Like all Designers i get a lot of ideas by looking at what others do, getting inspired by that and finding my own ways of doing things from that inspiration :)

    Second trick: never ever put color dominance in the deep shadows or in specular highlight or the image look really fake. Black(0-16) must be black and white (248-255) must be white.
    Otherwise you end up with cheap smartphone app effects. Is taking 15 more second doit but is 10000 better.

      Hi Ewald, at the end of the video i just give a quick overview of the topics i talked about. there is no new information in there, so you didn't miss anything of the tutorials. But my newer videos don't use these end-screens anymore :)

    This was too "dirty" and fast for my taste. Not one of the pictures got improved IMO. Not one. Especially the night scene was disappointing.
