When you started talking about Deadpool, it reminded me of one time in the comics where he talked a stranger out of killing herself because it would negatively affect him. He didn't care if she was alive or dead, he did it because the specific place she was gonna jump from was near his residence or something (I don't exactly remember). He took her on a joyride because he thought she should have some fun before she died. whether she decided to go through with it or not was up to her and he didn't care much either way. She ended up not doing it in the end because of him.
I've actually read that exact story and yeah: more evidence placing him in Chaotic Neutral. Strangely heartwarming in it's nonchalance, though it could be argued that maybe a tiny bit of him did care and recognized that telling her that wasn't going to help. But there's no doubt he was also thinking about the inconvenience it would cause him as much, if not more so, as worrying about her. Have I mentioned I'm a bit of an optimist?
I play my chaotic neutral character as a sort of mercenary. He has the charlatan background and works for coin. He doesn't care who he's working for so long as it pays well. This means he will work with the guard. Police recruit criminals as informants all the time. So he revealed he had information they wanted. When questioned he said simply that he was a mercenary the bandits they are looking for hired and tried to pull a fast one on. The ones who betrayed him are part of a larger group and he knows the name of the man they work for. It also helps that the one's who betrayed him are all dead so they don't know his face.
i like to think if my chaotic neutral as having intense bouts of feelings intensely or not feeling anything so he acts according to those feelings, sometimes thoughtfully, sometimes not. Depends on on he feels
As someone who works within mental health here's my tip for playing a chaotic NEUTRAL pc, develop a back story (not too dark) and have a reason NOT to fit in. Play it like a flaw, you would try to fit in and cooperate but for some reason you simply cannot get your act together or get round to it. Your life should be a mess and even your relationship with power (as you gain levels) should be full of frivolous expressions of your preferred interests (i.e. being an adventurer is just your job).
Just easing myself into the world of D&D and this is the alignment I chose for my first character. I found this one fun, thanks, its what I'd like to work with for sure with a lot of what you touched on.
@@RavinerPayne Not really above my level I just neither found it clever or funny. Not sure why you got super offended and butt hurt by the term "chaotic stupid" because it is a term that gets thrown around a lot in the DnD scene. Heck if you were paying attention he even mentions it in the video.
You're imagining the going back literally instead of the thought stance. It's not stupid...kinda... that people prefer to avoid stresses. Instead of worrying about if your companion would live, die while you leave to find a cure, or if in a scenario where your friend is being held hostage and the personal antagonist will get away with killing his family he'd go with the in for a penny action.
@@RavinerPayne Firstly your original comment didn't explain any of that and secondly the explanation you give now still falls into the realm of chaotic stupid because it's viciously impractical, lazy but more importantly impulsively random AF. Very flimsy logic there.
I will be doing all three evil alignments and they will each be released in successive weeks! So next week will be lawful evil, then a week after it'll neutral evil, etc. I'm glad you have been enjoying the alignment series so far! But today is exhilarating for me! I've gotten my first dislike!
My chaotic netral character is a real ass, kinda like Rick from rick and morty, Totaly drivin by the moment, not knowing if tomorrow will come or that yesturday actualy happen.
I'm playing through BG3 as a choatic neutral. My best take in it is...... Good and evil are subjective, so whatever! Ima do what i want! Buuuut, i don't want to be too much of a dick..... unless fuck you I'm gonna be a dick.... unless i feel like being nice of course!
Coyote from Shadowrun Returns, basically any female shadowrunners would fall under Chaotic Neutral by default. Ching Shih was a famous Chinese pirate with enough power to basically leverage a one sided bargain with Imperial officials of the Qing Royal Court. Mad Moxxi from Borderlands is definely Chaotic Neutral. Those are the ones off the top of my head, I could research more if you like!

After leaving a companion, you realize you feel bad, so you go back to kill them cause you don't like the bad feeling.
You just described chaotic stupid not chaotic neutral with that example you gave.

This alignment is on Villains & Heroes wiki.
I found the wiki you've referenced and it looks like a treasure trove! But I can't find the Chaotic Neutral page, could you post a link?
@@GamersDenLoremaster Go to Google.com, type Villains wiki Type of villains. You will find Chaotic Neutral.

Yeah, after reading it that sounds about right.
Hi, do you know any female character in pop culture or pop culture history, who is chaotic neutral?
