I met Carlos 11 years ago at work here in El Salvador. We were friends immediately and slowly grew into soulmates. He is the world´s best father and my perfect partner. A decade later and I still love him a little bit more every day.
Moving to El Salvador with 4 suitcases to be a with a man I had known less than a year was terrifying and the best decision I have ever made.

I was born in El Salvador but live in the US for the past forty years. I traveled to El Salvador for the first time in January of last year and reconnected with my childhood sweetheart and we recently got married and plan to move to El Salvador to live our lives together. I have to say that I’m the happiest that I’ve ever been. Thank You again for sharing your own story.

What a great story! My husband is also from El Salvador and we met here in Los Angeles, California. Most of his family is still in El Salvador and I have yet to go and visit with our 3 kids. One of my daughters was able to go a few years ago but she was 3 at the time and hardly remembers. I have been wanting to go for so long and with Covid it makes it harder. Hopefully sometime soon!

Just like me and my husband, two different countries (El Salvador/Syria) and living in a third country US... never even crossed my mind.
Carlos was my boss back in those days and he was an awesome person and boss... I think I was part of that training 😆. Love for your family and many blessings!!

I was in US 4 years, then back to El Salvador and working on the call center 😅.. some friends introduced us over FB and after chatting for a while, he visited El Salvador and fell in love with the country (me).. then he traveled again for two more years and spent Christmas with my family.... He proposed randomly while going out for dinner with me and my mom and I was translating for them, and he goes “ I will like to marry your daughter “, and I almost chocked on my steak and asked him, “ are you sure you want me to translate that?” 😂. And he said yes.
We applied for fiancé Visa , and here I am 6 years , two kids and third one on the way later... 🤷🏻♀️🥰

I worked in retail management and call centers in the US too 💙 I would highly recommend looking for a job here before committing to moving. There are jobs available in call center, the pay rate will not be the same but neither is the cost of living or lifestyle. Do you get to visit ES often?

@@ThatExpatMom Well this is new England 😁 just a couple days ago it was nice and warm with a temperature in the 60s very sunny, you know everybody happy 😄 and yesterday the temperature dropped to 30 degrees and we had a little bit of thick snow for a few mins. Right now it's very cold and windy. 🥶☃️
That's wild I've almost forgotten what changing weather is like it's always sunny and hot here. The rainy season usually starts on Easter though so that will be a change of pace ☺️ stay warm and have a nice March 17 do you have any plans?

I keep coming back for more for two reasons; you are genuinely happy in all your videos and b/c I’m from the states and want to take a leap to ES one day. I know nothing about it except what my bf tells me. (Him and his family are from there) we met in the states working together too. I would love to watch part 2 and even a 3. So sad it was so short lol.

I love raising my kiddos here 😁 there are many great schools to choose from depending on what you are looking for (bilingual, trilingual, location, diplomas) and what your budget is. There is a few schools that even offer multiple diplomas for example El Salvador and the US.

You are too sweet! 💙 I just got long U layers overall with face framing fringe and side swept bangs. Blow dry and used large conair hot rollers to fake a blow out.. It literally takes minutes I used to do it before school back in the day 😊. Recently I've been trying to work with my hairs natural wavy texture though especially since the rainy season is right around the corner here in El Salvador 💙
