I should have explained this a little bit better. But I see how mistake 2 always get new heroes and mistake 10 skip new heroes can sounds contradicting. Number 9 is HUGE!!!!!! Collect those tickets I was stuck on my old server for months after Top War merged my server with one that had a guild with a few whales that made everyone miserable. I had to use tons of gems to get enough tickets to leave in a reasonable amount of time. I was starting at 0 and needed 32. Now I collect the one from the guild store as soon as it becomes available.
Well, nice thing about f2p is I avoided all the spending mistakes. Definitely made several of the others, though. Building Vals to early was probably my biggest. But before I lost those Vals I did put them in a march for the Island Battle and they continued to help me for a looooong time after they died.
That is a really nice use for them. I just recently updated my island March. It was 2 hero and could clear everything but for some reason after months it lost. So just in case I updated it with my 3 hero March
@@WGtopwar Probably just got unlucky and hit too many traps. I hate those things. Not 3 hero yet, but my march is strong enough to not have to worry about anything in Island Battle except those dang traps.
Rule of thumb with Vals as you go to start making them.. always have a buffer zone of at least 100k extra odinium after the 100k to unlock the Val type you want to work on.. 1 full 3h marxh of damaged Vals can cost half of that buffer in a single SVS. Lol and if you dont want to lose all of them during that SVS make sure you fill you regular repair shop with level 80s to unlock the emergency repair so all the Vals go there..
I don't plan on making any Valhalla units until I'm done with my suppressions and my class. That way all my gathering marches can be on odinium 24/7. I'm also only going to build Valhalla units in anticipation for EL. I'm not a fan of SVS and I barely think the rewards are worth it for me to participate at all let alone use Valhalla units
@@WGtopwar EL is by far the most rewarding event.. We have a big SVS tomorrow against 1258 .. they have moved us up to the bigger leagues it seems with our current record . I only have one Val March for my army... just for fun .. and my air is half val and half 81s ... gonna see some of them burning up soon
Always like your video. So informative. The whole make friend and not enemies is so true. Previous server didn't care about it, and it took 4-6 months to get the server back together, but it was already too late with lots of transfer out. I'd be interested to see your thoughts on when to spend and when not to spend. I agree with weekly gem and custom rewards.
What to spend on is on my to-do list. I actually filmed it once and when I watched it I wasn't happy. I need to trim it down, focus it, and make a rhythm and kind of jumped all over the place

Note that some things in the game scale counterintuively: for example paid packs don't have a "bulk discount", instead, the exact opposite! For example decor store 0.99 pack gives 10 materials (10 materials per dollar) whereas the 99.99 one gives 600 (6 materials per dollar). Only thing is the 0.99 pack is buyable once per day only. Same mechanic goes with the exclusive skill for some paid heroes. It is weird because the developer probably forfeits half of 0.99 payments in flat transaction fees whereas they would get to keep most of 99.99, but as players, and as you said in the video, this is another great example of long-term commitment being better than short-term money dump. And that is before even considering the fact that 100 days x 0.99 purchase means getting the "make any payment" quest done 100 times, whereas 1 day x 99.99 means only getting it once.
Great video wish I seen this early on in my game lol. I think you missed one thing worth mentioning tho was prioritise buying class item chest, or gears or plates early on depending if your mm or C.e. late game you need alot and end up stuck on research. As well no when to upgrade suppression or save resources for research

You should focus on getting three Navy heroes to five star so you can start working on your perks. I would recommend whichever heroes you have that are closest to five star keep working on them. After you finish your perks then you can start chasing the newest and best hero

Made a few but found out early and from many games of this type, that making friends is best for everyone including the server The rest are good to know and wish everyone knew before the spent their time making mine less thankfully for being in a free game frequently
Hey man I'm new to the game and f2p, I got Rambo 5 star and I got OP and MegaTron unlocked and don't know who to dump shards into?? I have no other options atm
If you don't know who to dump shards into at the moment then I would recommend working on your perks. You'll want all unit attack, all unit HP, Army attack, and Army HP on all your heroes that you'll be using in combat
My mistake was not mentioned. Perking 2 sets of heroes instead of concentrating on just 1 set of 3hm. It's over and done with now but it took me forever perking them
Before cp reset i had problem with vip points and after the latest server reset update i got all the vip points back that were not being counted properly.
Great tips as usual! Hate to be that guy, but Inter-Server means Server vs Server, what you meant was Intra-Server, since you're talking about conflict 'within' a server.
We had crazy amount of drama in previous server.. Constantly wars with alliances and rogue players hitting farms, igniting new wars etc. Now our whole server is more or less united and we've become strong. On EL events we always get top 1-3 rewards on all alliance / server rewards etc. At reward stage my alliance opens doors to let any other player of our server to claim rewards. We have Arms Race Kill Event maybe once per month, usually right after EL or a major SvS battle. No drama whatsoever. As for these mistakes, boy I've made plenty. One thing I would have mentioned in this video is the usage of universal (orange) hero shards. People, myself included use them in early game to level up free heroes or leveling up perks of these free heroes. I would have liked if you elaborated more when to purchase these weekly packs etc. to get most value out of them.
I talk more about the uses of hero shards on perks in the video I reference at the end. I'll likely make more in depth videos on some of these subjects in the future. Sadly the longer my video the worse it seems to do in my analytics

Hey. Just want to ask something. How many skill chests do you open at a time?? Any preference? Sometimes, I save up more than a 100 rare skills only to get 3-4 march sizes. That's a pitifully small number.
I open as I get things. Personally I think the idea of opening a set amount for the best result is just a superstition. Yes, world collection works on odinium
I think I understand the question now. I'm not saying you should wait then buy it. I'm saying things that you have to buy and then wait for the rewards each day. Rewards that the game makes you wait for tend to be much better deals.

I'm not a huge fan just because it sounds like a pain. Also my alliance does the small droid everyday so swapping in and out of the alliance to catch the ruins would prevent us from doing droid or at least as easily. Really My only issue with it is the hassle
I never bought transfer tickets on my main account ... our server merged ... lot's of drama ... most people left ... now sitting on a server with lot's of drama and little to no activity ... I will need months to get out of the server. I have 4 tickets ... only 16 more to go ... :(
I'm not aware of any hero you can get for gems. The buy in for a new hero is currently 21.95. You also realize that your mistake 2 and 10 contradict each other. I get that adding new heroes is a good thing, and chasing them at all costs is a bad thing. What is the right amount?
Every time a new hero comes out there is a lucky treasury event where you can get them for gems. Also I made a pinned comment explaining number two and 10. You should unlock every hero but you shouldn't upgrade every hero and then my video that I pitch at the end explains why

The game they promote in the ad is completely different from the real game. They promote this cartoonish battle game with a red and blue army fighting each other with giant saw blades and crazy weapons, but it's really a Sim City style battle strategy game.
Did you suggest, better to buy the weekly gems packages instead of buying the amount of gems instantly? Never tried the custom rewards. Is it that much benefit?
Yes because you can get the same amount of gems for less money if you're willing to wait. Usually the stuff where you have to wait you can get a lot more for your money. I swear by the customer rewards and I love getting the class item chests out of there. I'm less than 500 class items away from finishing my tree and I've been buying that thing for weeks. Every time you get that pack it's 14 class items. And on the day it expires you can renew it that same day so instead of getting 2 you can get four

I had a good teacher that explained me the way to never merge those until I have all my unused hero with gold skill on them I have to give him credit on that one
Also would it be a good stuff to merge my rare lvl 4 gathering speed to make 2 5 and have 1 left at 4 would add 5% but would have to switch those around all the time

If you don't want to wait for your VIP level there are some events like the point store or similar ones where you can get her but it's still expensive unfortunately. There's no way to get her for free and I don't think they'll make it free ever
forget gold. there's nothing to spend on gold once you upgrade dock and some minor upgrade on that page. People even remove 10 gold production and put units to makes up the space for it.
You still need to level up. You can always dismantle your gold production skills and get rid of your mines once your level 80 and have all the things that cost gold. Also if your Mech Master you still use gold because you build towers especially with the new tower which I have been told costs around 90 or 100 EE. During eternal lands you will burn through your gold very quickly if you're using that frequently
I'm in the United States. You can unlock almost every new hero with gems through the lucky Treasury event. But that only lasts for 7 days usually. After that you'd have to spend real money whenever they come back around

Mistake 11 using "alliance help" to get units early in the game instead of farming stones until you have 2 x RoF10 Mistake 12 not stacking all your marches but 1 into lvl 6 rss every single day to achieve aforementioned purpose
I swear by it. Whatever items you pick you will get every day for 7 days and you only have to pay on the first day. I like doing the three plus one because it gives me class items so for $9 I get my choice of three items from the first two columns and I get the class items which ends up being 14 class items every time I get the pack. And on the 7th day when the pack expires you're able to renew it on that same day so you can basically get twice the rewards in one day
Can you clarify the two mistakes that seem contradictory? I don't remember the numbers, but one you said to "make sure to acquire new heroes" and the other you said "don't focus on acquiring all of the new heroes". Are you setting us up to fail? 🤣
What he means is pick up the hero when you can do it with gems instead of real money, but only level the hero up enough to put gold production skills on it, then continue working on other things that are more permanent like Perks, Class upgrades, Suppressions, etc. Constantly max leveling the newest hero who will likely be made obsolete when something better comes out a few months from now, slows your progress on the more permanent and lasting buffs and holds your account back.

God, do I wish I had the foresight to stock up transfer tickets. Not only are we about to go into our first EL with our top two alliances at each other's throats (Because of freaking Capital Contest, because our current leader got in a wad over anyone daring to challenge his authority), but we've just let in a bunch of whales who are making it no secret that they intend to usurp and iron fist the hell out of our server. And it doesn't help that the server went from a pretty even amount of english vs. non-english speakers to my game Kurt Cobaining itself every ten minutes trying to translate 50 messages at a time in AC. But noooo.... that 15000 alliance points has to go to those shields I have to constantly put up every time someone get's butthurt and decides to take it out on our tiny little #3 alliance because we were friendly with the #2 or #1 that one time.
Man I feel it. I was in a very similar situation a few times. If this helps at all. Getting burned doesn't matter too much if you don't run Valhalla units. You can just not repair all those degraded units until the tantrum is done and once it's over you can let them degrade and gather with units that are just one level lower. Also in servers like that training speed is huge. Merida and Lady zizak exclusive at level 3/5/7 help for their branches so you can recover faster

I have played this gave foe a few months now and hove only just realising that I know nothing about it. I have gotten to level 74 and have been looking at videos because I have no idea how the eternal land event works, in y research I have found that there are different servers and you are supposed to fight other people? I don't get any of it. I will continue to grind my gold universal shards for 5 star hero's and pretend like the half of the game I don't understand doesn't exist/
I was still learning stuff every single day after I had hit level 80. I couldn't believe how much about the game I didn't know. But it was nice to learn it because it made my account better because I learned how to milk each event for more rewards
Sadly, this game is waaaay to focused on pay2win, its a pure cashgrab and that sucks since the game is pretty fun to play but in the end, if you dont spend cash then you wont be able to do much or compete against pay2win players.
I agree, the best you can hope to really do is be a mech master to help support. Either from facilities, towers, or traps. But those are critical to any server

Unfortunately your best option is going to be preparing for a transfer. While it's not unheard of for people transferring to a server to teach someone a lesson. It is exceedingly rare and even more so if they don't know the person they're teaching a lesson to

You're on the new CP system and many of us were on the old one. There was an update that just went live today that I believe put all servers on your system. In the old system CP was almost entirely troop based and was not a good representation of power. I went from 250-300EE down to 34 million I believe

It's unfortunate longer videos aren't as good analytics wise, I can only tell what I would have hoped from this video. Don't get me wrong though, there's nothing wrong in the video itself. This is just something I would have wanted to see in such compilation.
Perhaps you could make a series of tips such as these and title them accordingly? You could make short videos but sum up crucial things of playing this game.

No worries at all. The feedback is good. I'm still tweaking my videos a lot and finding my rhythm. This is a video I'm going to be rewatching a lot to see how o can do this format better. I'm not a huge fan just because it sounds like a pain. Also my alliance does the small droid everyday so swapping in and out of the alliance to catch the ruins would prevent us from doing droid or at least as easily. Really My only issue with it is the hassle

I never bought transfer tickets on my main account ... our server merged ... lot's of drama ... most people left ... now sitting on a server with lot's of drama and little to no activity ... I will need months to get out of the server. I have 4 tickets ... only 16 more to go ... :(
That reminds me of my current server. After our server merge it all went down hill. I am at 10 of 22 tickets to get out of my server...
It never hurts to have a backup plan even if it never gets used. I'm glad I learned my lesson quick about buying transfer tickets

I'm not aware of any hero you can get for gems. The buy in for a new hero is currently 21.95. You also realize that your mistake 2 and 10 contradict each other. I get that adding new heroes is a good thing, and chasing them at all costs is a bad thing. What is the right amount?
Every time a new hero comes out there is a lucky treasury event where you can get them for gems.
Also I made a pinned comment explaining number two and 10. You should unlock every hero but you shouldn't upgrade every hero and then my video that I pitch at the end explains why

The game they promote in the ad is completely different from the real game. They promote this cartoonish battle game with a red and blue army fighting each other with giant saw blades and crazy weapons, but it's really a Sim City style battle strategy game.

Yes because you can get the same amount of gems for less money if you're willing to wait. Usually the stuff where you have to wait you can get a lot more for your money.
I swear by the customer rewards and I love getting the class item chests out of there. I'm less than 500 class items away from finishing my tree and I've been buying that thing for weeks. Every time you get that pack it's 14 class items. And on the day it expires you can renew it that same day so instead of getting 2 you can get four

For sure I've been playing for about a year and a half and it took me that long to get to that % sounds like you're way ahead where I was
I had a good teacher that explained me the way to never merge those until I have all my unused hero with gold skill on them I have to give him credit on that one
Also would it be a good stuff to merge my rare lvl 4 gathering speed to make 2 5 and have 1 left at 4 would add 5% but would have to switch those around all the time
the biggest mistake is NOT having fun, it's a game after all... so if your only playing to be the best, then odds are your not having fun.... and if your not having fun, then why the heck are you playing...
I can't argue with that. I get a lot of flack from my server about how I play because I do some weird things. But I want to play how I want to play because it's a game
My biggest mistake was amalia when its ist comeout that time I was so new to this game and got gems but don't no that later on I have to buy that hero I really miss that hero I am only vip 6 I dont wanna use more money in here
If you don't want to wait for your VIP level there are some events like the point store or similar ones where you can get her but it's still expensive unfortunately. There's no way to get her for free and I don't think they'll make it free ever
forget gold. there's nothing to spend on gold once you upgrade dock and some minor upgrade on that page. People even remove 10 gold production and put units to makes up the space for it.
You still need to level up. You can always dismantle your gold production skills and get rid of your mines once your level 80 and have all the things that cost gold. Also if your Mech Master you still use gold because you build towers especially with the new tower which I have been told costs around 90 or 100 EE. During eternal lands you will burn through your gold very quickly if you're using that frequently

I'm in the United States. You can unlock almost every new hero with gems through the lucky Treasury event. But that only lasts for 7 days usually. After that you'd have to spend real money whenever they come back around

I swear by it. Whatever items you pick you will get every day for 7 days and you only have to pay on the first day. I like doing the three plus one because it gives me class items so for $9 I get my choice of three items from the first two columns and I get the class items which ends up being 14 class items every time I get the pack. And on the 7th day when the pack expires you're able to renew it on that same day so you can basically get twice the rewards in one day

I don't remember the numbers, but one you said to "make sure to acquire new heroes" and the other you said "don't focus on acquiring all of the new heroes".

What he means is pick up the hero when you can do it with gems instead of real money, but only level the hero up enough to put gold production skills on it, then continue working on other things that are more permanent like Perks, Class upgrades, Suppressions, etc.
Constantly max leveling the newest hero who will likely be made obsolete when something better comes out a few months from now, slows your progress on the more permanent and lasting buffs and holds your account back.

God, do I wish I had the foresight to stock up transfer tickets. Not only are we about to go into our first EL with our top two alliances at each other's throats (Because of freaking Capital Contest, because our current leader got in a wad over anyone daring to challenge his authority), but we've just let in a bunch of whales who are making it no secret that they intend to usurp and iron fist the hell out of our server.
And it doesn't help that the server went from a pretty even amount of english vs. non-english speakers to my game Kurt Cobaining itself every ten minutes trying to translate 50 messages at a time in AC.
But noooo.... that 15000 alliance points has to go to those shields I have to constantly put up every time someone get's butthurt and decides to take it out on our tiny little #3 alliance because we were friendly with the #2 or #1 that one time.
Man I feel it. I was in a very similar situation a few times.
If this helps at all. Getting burned doesn't matter too much if you don't run Valhalla units. You can just not repair all those degraded units until the tantrum is done and once it's over you can let them degrade and gather with units that are just one level lower. Also in servers like that training speed is huge. Merida and Lady zizak exclusive at level 3/5/7 help for their branches so you can recover faster

I have played this gave foe a few months now and hove only just realising that I know nothing about it. I have gotten to level 74 and have been looking at videos because I have no idea how the eternal land event works, in y research I have found that there are different servers and you are supposed to fight other people? I don't get any of it. I will continue to grind my gold universal shards for 5 star hero's and pretend like the half of the game I don't understand doesn't exist/
I was still learning stuff every single day after I had hit level 80. I couldn't believe how much about the game I didn't know. But it was nice to learn it because it made my account better because I learned how to milk each event for more rewards
I made mistakes 1, 2, and 9... maybe I'm not as dumb as I think!

Sadly, this game is waaaay to focused on pay2win, its a pure cashgrab and that sucks since the game is pretty fun to play but in the end, if you dont spend cash then you wont be able to do much or compete against pay2win players.
I agree, the best you can hope to really do is be a mech master to help support. Either from facilities, towers, or traps. But those are critical to any server

Unfortunately your best option is going to be preparing for a transfer. While it's not unheard of for people transferring to a server to teach someone a lesson. It is exceedingly rare and even more so if they don't know the person they're teaching a lesson to

If your server is new just keep growing things will likely change. The strongest player changed a lot in my first server

You're on the new CP system and many of us were on the old one. There was an update that just went live today that I believe put all servers on your system.
In the old system CP was almost entirely troop based and was not a good representation of power. I went from 250-300EE down to 34 million I believe
