      Right... but the cops who dont actually study laws... protect people (uvalde)... or are fat... are not the issue... especially when its government funded... plus i thought adults can make their own decisions... why do we keep having other adults telling other adults what to do in the first place... its fucking astounding that life is like a high school drama movie with a teacher or principal around every corner...       @@EcceHomo1088 What we need is for public employees to be reviewed and re-qualified for the job every year by an independent body (not another public employee), kind of like an accounting firm. If the "accounting" firm makes a mistake, they are held financially and possibly criminally for their mistake.

We need to stop using this 3rd party Socialist/Communist method and start using the INDIVIDUAL method like our founders wanted... sure violence might go up short term... but i dont think people like getting shot all to much...

      what if i randomly gained power... decided something you do is a "Crime"... although you TRULY believe it... and then put you in prison... thats esssentially whats going on here... we have some adults with a superiority complex that like to abuse people... even if they dont agree with their "Rules and Laws" which are vague for a reason...

      Kids with a badge believe they are bestowed ultimate authority over another is the work of Satan and Narcissism, not God!
      The narcissistic level of hate police internally harbor toward innocent citizens is the nucleus of pure evil and hatred!
      The turtle truth is this:
      Uneducated narcissistic kids in police costumes usually aren't qualified to do much else other than threaten and harass the public to extort incomes, or in the alternative become Walmart greeters! (And, they love hurting people, just ask them!).
      Good community people and their families become instant easy prey for the police because that's where the money, fame, and laughs are at!

    As a resident of Riverside County, I’m beyond pissed this happened to one of our finest. This was totally preventable, albeit not totally unexpected. This career criminal should’ve been behind bars without bail before his sentencing and should’ve been locked up for a min of 25 years. Thank you Sheriff Bianco for speaking the truth and for honoring our slain Deputy with powerful words.

    I live in southern Ca. I blame this incident, and many before it and the many that will follow on the dumb voters of California who elected soft on crime politicians (DEMOCRATS). This is what Californians voted for and got. If this is what Californians want, then they should arm themselves before one of these jail birds that should be in prison shows up at their house and tries to hurt them or one of their loved ones......Someone once said, "We get the government that we deserve."       ​@@maxsmart8954 Max I have lived in Ca since 1970 and are very involved in the politics of my state. Arnold was not conservative and he was Rep in name only. I nor one person that I knew considered Arnold a true Rep. I know the process for the selection of judge and do not need to be schooled by you. After appointments, the judges come up for elections every six years and people get to vote yes or no on whether to give them another 6 years. Most people do not take the time research the judges. It is very rare when superior court judge does not get reelected.

      Well…..that’s not what happened. To be appointed a judge you need to be an accredited lawyer and have an understanding of the law and either be appointed or elected.
      Aside from that you can’t just deem something a crime, there needs to be a precedent in violation of an existing statute. Judges don’t just make random judgments, they process criminal charges and prosecutorial evidence.
      That man committed several crimes, he’s broken the law and has shown to be inclined to violate the law again. That’s why he should’ve been incarcerated, he’s a career felon.

    How can citizens hold judges accountable? Is there any oversight group that can look into this? How many poor judgment calls does a judge get before she or he is fired? How can they be fired or at least demoted? Something MUST change.

    I respect this man so much and am glad he is our Sheriff. Voting for him was a good descision, he is definitely the voice of most people in our county. There were a lot of judge elections on the last ballot, and I researched every one before making my choice, but sadly many weak ones were still elected.

    I live only a mile or two from where this occurred,I also know a young man that is going to be doing the same thing in a few months ,I know his mother and his girlfriend,I was just taking to his mother a few minutes ago ,she was trying to get home yesterday and the streets were blocked off ,I also worked and know people at the hospital where this officers body was taken,a senseless tragedy that should NEVER HAVE HAPPENED.

    I am a recovered junkie and I was given multiple chances so I am big on rehab. With that said I AM BEHIND YA SIR! We NEED accountability and consequences. The public suffer at the hands of our legal systems idea of law. Sadly more of this is in store as long as our legal dept thinks guys like this shouldn't be breaking rocks in the desert

    No one should be a "career criminal"....bring back 3 strikes of ANY crimes misdemeanor or felony. If they don't learn by the 3rd strike they go away for the rest of their lives and work behind bars until they pass away. No more future victims. We deserve to live in peace.

      We shouldn't base laws off colloquialisms because it sounds catchy. Life is not baseball. The 3 strikes law is the lazy man's answer to sentencing. Each and every case is different and should be treated as such.

      @@FC-qe1wl Because not all court cases outcomes are correct there are appeals. There are technical errors that can eliminate critical evidence. 3 strikes demonstrates a pattern. That is what 3 strikes is all about. Is it an unfortunate outcome or is the person really deserving of the conviction a repeat offender?

It's about catching and turning around on a bad path or putting away an incorrigible. They have 3 chances to never do any crime again. After that, it's on them to live with the consequences.

      We don't even have 3 strikes as it is. They strike strikes all the time. People have four, five, six plus felony convictions. They strike the strikes, so it doesn't count toward the 3 strikes rule. Happens ALL the time, every day.

    The judge kept giving him the " He looks like a good kid with a bright future ahead of him" treatment. And, being that it's a female judge, she probably thought he was too attractive to send to prison. She's like one of those weirdos that falls in love with serial killers. Chicks make horrible judges.

    I agree that this man should have never been on the street. We are all tired of being afraid of criminals. My prayers go out to the Deputy and his family. I will always have the utmost respect for Law Enforcement, but the Sherriff needs to also get his house in order. There are elements of the department that are corrupt and operate with a gang like mentality. If he’s going to call out the law makers and politicians, he needs to also call out his own department..

    We agree. We have had two experiences with justice system. In one, a person who caused 3 severe accidents because of DUI was released with her promise that she would no longer drink and drive. The second was a young man who broke into our house in a burglary and attacked our son who was asleep at the time. This man was placed in a halfway house in Pacific Grove, CA for 90 days and moved to be closer to his family before that 90 days was up. In my opinion, non-violent offenders should receive ankle monitors with movement allowing only work. They should pay for monitoring, probation, court costs, but not be put in jail to be supported by the public. This would make space for violent criminals that should not be allowed near society.

    Let's make a law that says any criminal who is released and then later convicted of any crime must be incarcerated with the legislators who made the laws that authorized the criminal's release, the prosecutors who failed to prosecute the bad guy to the fullest extent of the law, the judge who failed to sentence the criminal to the harshest sentence possible, and finally the judge who (in this case) authorized the low bail. Lock them all up together in prison and sentence them to hard labor--PENAL SERVITUDE. 👍
