Hey man just finished changing my break pads and disks. Thanks to you I was able to do it myself. Had more problems with my impact driver than the job itself lol. Thanks again.
Great video. Very detailed. Changed brakes and rotors on 05 Grand Prix GT. I'm not much of a mechanic, so this video was super helpful. Everything went GREAT! Thanks and keep clowning!!
The comedy is golden along with the tutorial. Really would love to work on this car myself. I have a 2005 PGP, trying to revive it and do something with it.
i got respect for you klowny, us mechanics have to stick together. but 2 things (and i don't mean to sound like an ass) 1.: the tab things are called ears. 2.: if a vehicle has ABS and you push the piston in without opening up the system the brake fluid will reverse flow thru the ABS module. This will damage it. Ive seen a bunch of people who do this then their ABS light comes on and they don't know why. open up the bleeder valve so the excess fluid being pushed back goes out the valve. you can always top off later. otherwise, good video mate
It is litteraly just a nut on the caliper. When fully seated no fluid leaka thru. But when you losen it it allows the fluid to run. Simple wrench will do. Theres also several videos on here showin ya
+Raymond Brandreth what are you talking about. You can totally open the system. As long as youre qualified and dont get air into the system everything will work fine.
and it alot easyer to clean caliper bracket slots while its bouncing on floor after you drop it- i wire brush it before pads with way to much grease on em
Looking to see if ya have a Vid on GP Pontiac , changing spark plugs - they look like a bear ie 2 , 4 , and 6 .My ole Ford or chevy , easy , just sit on fender well with ya legs down inside motor area[ on a 6 Cyl that is ].I've heard ? remove back motor bracket bolt-back car up [short distance ] and motor tilts UP ? easier to git back plugs , Not sure if that is true or not ??
Hey , OT but pertains to GP 2007 . Wifes car - panel lit up saying " reduced Power" and won't run. Any Ideas - if you have ever run into that ?? Thanks
OFF Brake subject , I replaced the air cleaner in this 2007 GP,then noticed check engine light was on ? On starting up , I had to play with throttle in order to get engine running , eventually it smoothed out ? Exh smelled RICH .Never had a vehicle go rich on changing an Air Filter ?? Any comments / advise ? thanks ............te
klowny1969 Is that the one located on the Intake tube , directly behind air filter ?? if so I checked it this am , seemed all snug . I don't have one of those gadgets to hook up to puter, suppose will have to consult a garage that has one ? thanks
klowny1969 OT I know but , I checked wife's car again, found a problem - the lge air intake plastic tube WAS broken on the bottom right where it attaches to Engine .Could not see it , I was feeling the tube , ah dern thing broken on bottom out of sight . Now , where would one look for another air intake tube ,without going to GM dealer ? Thanks
klowny1969 off topic , What I am looking for is called OUTlet Duct ,found some from 60 to 90 bucks ! they must think alot of them for the price !! urggg
Good job Manny! I was wondering about the clown theme. Do you work part time as a clown? Also, you need a new pair of shoes as I noticed your left heel is split and hanging off. Keep up the good work klown and have a great New Year.
yes pump the brakes..i usually bleed them right after a pad change, which means you have to pump the brakes..thanks for commenting and watching..also check out my shirts, the link is in the description..thanks
Is the brake cleaner 100% needed or Optional same with orange goo and Grease, I changed the brakes on my S10 and never used any of those and it works perfectly
DEADLY SMURF that depends..on sliders..yes i would clean and grease them..some pads have metal shims in the back..no need for antisqueal there..others dont, and u would need it...it all depends
This guy knows what he is doing, and is an excellent teacher when it comes to installing break pads and rotor
Thank you
Thanx Klown..I appreciate people who take time to share knowledge.
thnx for watching

I'm replacing all 4 calipers on my 05 grand prix.. due I need to bleed my ABS brakes/system a certain way, prior to replacing my calipers and rotors
No..follow standard bleeding procedures. .thnx for watching
haha, guess you figured this out by now, but no, you need a special tool to compress the rear calipers with abs.
Wow....great video! Is it the same procedure for the front breaks?
Thnks. .this video is front brakes..i also have a vid on my channel for the rear brakes..thnx for watching
right on bro thanks for the video! i'll be doing mine later on today
just to follow up, everything went very well and all is changed :). thanks again! this video was perfect
So you dont have to bleed the brakes
i got respect for you klowny, us mechanics have to stick together. but 2 things (and i don't mean to sound like an ass) 1.: the tab things are called ears. 2.: if a vehicle has ABS and you push the piston in without opening up the system the brake fluid will reverse flow thru the ABS module. Ive seen a bunch of people who do this then their ABS light comes on and they don't know why. open up the bleeder valve so the excess fluid being pushed back goes out the valve. you can always top off later. otherwise, good video mate
How do you open the bleed nut for the brake system?
It is litteraly just a nut on the caliper. When fully seated no fluid leaka thru. But when you losen it it allows the fluid to run. Simple wrench will do. Theres also several videos on here showin ya
thank you.. but i was almost happy that i didn't have to bleed my brakes. ..oh well.. fun to do by yourself. .lol
+Raymond Brandreth what are you talking about. You can totally open the system. As long as youre qualified and dont get air into the system everything will work fine.
To push cylinder in on back pads can you use a c-clamp like the front or do you need that rig that you ratchet in from your other video? Thanks
and it alot easyer to clean caliper bracket slots while its bouncing on floor after you drop it- i wire brush it before pads with way to much grease on em
Bruce Marion huh?
Great video, very good explaining. Keep it real!

Yes that is true..move the car a little and then pull the e-brake
This is how you are SUPPOSED to do it!
how do you get the bolts off the caliber before you let the rotor fall? it's stuck or too tight.
james hope breaker bar or cheater bar
Hey , OT but pertains to GP 2007 . Wifes car - panel lit up saying " reduced Power" and won't run. Any Ideas - if you have ever run into that ?? Thanks
