Top tune, I miss you Robert Young, a genius on the guitar, I miss our chats, lunches and lots of laughs. It's been almost 9 years since you left us, the pain is still the same. Love you Rob.
such a poignant song then and now more than ever with the tragic passing of denise johnson rest in peace denise you were a legend in your own right and will be missed by all primal scream and music fans everywhere xxx
One of my fave songs from one of my favorite bands. They are so underappreciated, I don't get it. Pure art, emotion, they also have their own special style no one can replicate. 💟💟💟
only saw Denise once co-singing w Gay Dad at the troub to a sparse crowd. Seen the Scream co-headline w Brian Jonestown sold out show Nokia LA then again a few years ago at glasshouse pomona to also a crowd only few rows deep. Bobby still encored w ‘higher than the sun’ even though it was seldom played on that tour saying “you are a great crowd” as we were enthusiastic (being eight drinks deep I know I was dancin around to ‘jailbird’ like an drunk idiot lolz. Class move and wver ingrained in memory.
i remember when i first heard this song , i was totally wasted on gas and it really impacted me then back in 1998 and ive never forgotten this song cause its so beautiful
@@jamesbrannigan5620 When I was about 14, me and my mates used to sniff butane gas, it made you trip in a totally different way to acid/shrooms. It can be amazing or quite scary because you sort of forget you are hallucinating and think it is real. I once though I was being shot at. I could hear the bullets and see the holes in the wall. I actually hid behind a sofa until I came round and reailise what an idiot I was. Not recommended, but I was younger, arrogant and thought I was invincible. So a normal teenager. No teen angst for me. That shit came later.
With the advent of britpop 🙄 Give Out didn't get all the recognition it deserved beyond the lead off singles and sunk pretty quickly and the band got some unfavourable coverage. Even though the finished album wasn't quite what the band wanted, (according to innes and Gillespie) the album is a masterpiece beginning to end, knew that then and it's still true today. Watch the documentary it's emotional. I filled up, no lie.
Como deje de escuchar esta banda tanto tiempo como 10 años... , pero esta bien..., porque es como volver a descubrirlos, pero mejor, porque despues de tanta agua (musica) que ha pasado debajo del puente... esto es como resucitar..... : )
Cracks me up these bands who look so 70s rocknroll, but have one or two members in a nice white shirt and suit jacket like Black Crowes with slightly uncool drummer
R I P Denise, Duffy and of course Rob who passed 10 years today 9/9/14. You're all dearly missed but Your Light Shines On!
The answer to Bobby’s questions is a most definitely yes.More than I count.😂😂😂
Honey child haven't we all cried hot tears into a pillow round about that mean ol midnight hour! Lord have mercy.
This video deserves more than 426,000 views. It's a very moving song, made even more powerful now that Rob and Denise are no longer with us.
And Mr Duffy - a fantastic musician
