For years I kept telling my kids someday we’ll go to a Linkin Park concert. Finally the time came bought the tickets and sadly Chester passed we kept the tickets. But life keeps going please guys you still have so much to give and I really hope I can be lucky to go to a Concert.
I had the $600 dinner with the band tickets for the Blinkin Park show in Hershey PA. Would have been my first LP show too. Still have the ticket. I also had tickets to the hunting party show but Chester fucked up his ankle playing basketball and that tour was cancelled too. So sad.

To answer Mike's question about where that "bounce" came from. It came from Korn. When Head, one of the guitarist of Korn, couldn't reach the guitar chord on his 7 String because the neck was thicker, he started bending over to reach the chord. That was one of my favorite things from the Nu Metal era live shows, and definitely not stupid. Once Metalcore began to take over and Nu Metal died out, I would revert back to the One Step Closer video just to see the "bounce."

Crawling is the song I put on when I need to cry but can't on my own. (It's a trauma thing.) It never fails to make me bawl my eyes out, punch the steering wheel and wail the damn lyrics. Powerful piece of music.
My son indirectly introduced LP to me. He has always loved this band and was in HS when they came out with HT and has been to at least 5 or 6 LP concerts. They are one of his 2 top bands. His love for rock music actually came from me as hard rock is my favorite genre. I fell in love with LP around 2007 and quickly caught up and blasted all their albums from my car with the moon roof opened singing at the top of my lungs. I loved the loud guitars and manic drumming (Rob Bourdon is so underrated) like One Step Closer, What I’ve Done, New Divide, Burn it Down, etc. I also love listening to Chester sing the ballads like Pushing Me Away (so underrated), Shadow of the Day, Numb, Crawling, Leave out all the Rest, One More Light etc. LP wrote lyrics that resonated across all age groups and Chester knew just how to sing those words. At their last show in the UK at Birmingham, he sung Crawling in the most heartfelt way with just Mike at the keyboards it was also the most haunting and beautifully sung version of that song he’s ever done. When Chester died, I could not listen to any of their music until just recently, and I’m actually more devastated now than in 2017. Observing his wit, charm, kindness, humbleness, joyfulness, and life as a family man through the gift of videos on this platform has resulted in many tears and laughter. What a huge hole he has left. He truly is beloved by people all over the world and rightfully so. I miss him more than words can say.

So sad.
@@TheBigAngryHobo Ah man sorry to hear that =( it was my dream to see LP live so I know how you feel.
My mom did the same thing, we were gonna see them in August 7th or something like that. I never seen them in concert, but my parents did. I have the tickets to this day, keeping them forever. I listened to linkin park since I was a kid, Breaking the Habit is the song that my dad played to me while were on a five hour trip.
My sister called me and told me about Chester, and honestly, it broke me. RIP Chester 💜
I spent all my money for a ticket to their show in birmingham. Was a good decision because that was Chesters last show.
nora de santiago it wouldn’t be the same without Chester… I’m sorry but they’re done
I love that they can watch this and smile remembering Chester. It’s heartwarming.
Hello kirstyn :)
@raymond withrow Take a seat, Raymond. What brings you here tonight? Don't lie. I have the transcripts
Dude, I’d pay anything to have a small club show from the teenage-angst version of Linkin Park. The energy, the madness is unmatchable ❤️

@Wise Man Yeah sure. Gatekeeping is great.
Man, Hybrid theory is the apotheosis of teenage angst.
There's nothing wrong about it and sayin' this doesn't make someone a lesser LP fan.
I mean, even Mike, Joe and brad seemed to cringe a little at some points of the video.

I managed to see them live just a week before his death and I still can't believe that he's no more
A lot of songs that you guys wrote and performed really hits home with me with the issues a child deal with. For years I suffered with depression and being bullied growing up. Crawling in my skin is especially personal to me. It's almost like the song was written about my life

It won't :(

Have you listened to the new Northlane record? Straight up sounds like if Linkin Park had gone further down the metal road

It's gonna i know it will we just need to wait. For now we'll just have to keep up with the garbage we have nowadays not all of it but most of it.Keep praying bud.
When they always speak about Chester... They speak to the present tense and it makes it a little bit nice that for a brief second I think he is still alive ( never the less he is still alive Inside our memories but stil..) ... We miss you man... and the rest of you ... we miss you guys I hope you are doing well !
It’s better to talk in the present so the memories never leave. He’ll always be with us
Thank you for doing this. The world is going through difficult times and we need morale. You have always adopted the principle of helping people. I am not a good person, but when I see you, there are some good people in the world and I say why not be one of them. You helped me a lot and you still do. Mike was observing himself very closely while watching this performance. It's as if he was doing an internal self-critique of his early rapping, stage presence and guitar playing.

The song is called "And One" and it was the first song Linkin Park wrote when Chester came into the band. :)
Mike said that when they played it 2001 at Rock am Ring.
