When special needs students age out of the public school system, they often have nowhere else to turn. One family found a solution and is no sharing it with others.
And I also want to say is when people don’t go to school anymore or job training education program for people with disabilities they can decide what they want to do in their life. The federal government should create a public school system and Project Search Program (Job Training) for people with disabilities for all ages in all states in America and all public school systems and job training programs. It doesn’t have to be 18-22 or 26 it can be anybody. We have to treat people the way we want to be treated with respect, included and welcome in our community. It should be a national priority.
I like when school opens for adults with special needs students because it really helps for them to have that voice. It helps to support students in school no matter how old they are they can stay in school as long as they like until they are fully ready for a job. They should do the same thing they were doing in all states in America. The federal government needs a movement and revolution in the way that the United States funds any education including post secondary special education programs and Project Search Program (Job Training) without aged out limit and provide money to school students and Project Search Interns after they graduate from High School. To me what I personally think about special education when aged out of school it’s very wrong, a national disgrace and a national disease that families are very frustrated and their kids are very angry of being abandoned.
