Well it is not all wrong. It Is partially wrong. His movement is to clean to be all wrong the stroke itself is very efficient and lose. You can't learn this in 10 minutes. He just optimized his stroke that's all

high elbow, to create space, then you bend wrist. otherwise, if your arm is tucked in, it won't matter how much you bend your wrist, the angles are wrong and you push the bh drive. likewise, if you have a high elbow but don't bend wrist, you can't whip to get bh topspin. don't be afraid to slow the stroke down, understand the technique , find that rhyme and feeling of the friction contact, the elbow, wrist, whip. then, with increased confidence, wind up the power
What a lucky kid! He gets to learn from one of the best to ever play some ping pong. Maybe, one day, when/if his family is willing to risk their lives, and his, to "export" him out of China . . . I'd be more than glad to show him a new, more interesting, AND BETTER way to play this silly old game of shame they called a "sport."
