All those machines are like fine red wines - they just keep getting better with age !
Thanks for a brilliant 'mini series' Mike.

Wow I do envy you guys have the chance to ride those beautiful old bikes and living in a beautiful part of the world. No better way to spend a day riding bikes from the 60’s. Thank you for sharing this with us, take care and enjoy life

Returns me to childhood Thank you! I could ride clipons & rearsets all day then, sadly no longer. I had a habit of swopping out the bars for flat bars. But I am 6'4" with long arms. The crank layout on British twins means that when one cylinder is drawing in air/fuel the other one is on the power stroke & not using the carburetor. Therefore for normal use i.e. not on the race track you don't lose a lot of performance to a twin carb model. Add to that you don't have to balance the twin carburetors and you may not lose anything. This was pointed out to me by a very successful racer when I was a teenager and wanted to build a race bike for the road. It started me thinking about how engines worked and how gains in one area often meant trade-offs in other areas many thanks to that gentleman.

Wonderful. I had a 500 A7ss and my brother had a 650 A10 Super Rocket in the 60/70s in the UK.

Gotta love the amp/volt meter? [can't remember what it was]] flapping around in the breeze. Great to see the old bikes being cared for in a loving way. Still pining after my Titan T500.

Thanks for the nostalgia Mike, in 1966 my Mother in law thought it a good idea that I sell my A10, don't ask what I sold it for, but the GI at Upper Heyford was very happy. It was two weeks wages to me ;) Take care......

    Lovely stuff.
I rode my unrestored 1957 Flash from London to Vienna, through Czechoslovakia and back to London when I was a much younger chap.
Let's say the wall had come down but Red Stars were still everywhere.
It wan't without incident,as they say,but the old girl could do 65 all day and in any terrain.
    Memories to cherish.

Love to see the old Brit bikes still up and running. Lovely. I’m on a speed twin. The modern version of these. And hope to get a classic triumph to go with my modern one soon.

Awesome ride out Mike, it's been a great thrill to see hear & watch the bikes perform on the 'open' road. It's bought back my sunday morning meeting old friends memory from the early 60's in Torbay when I was home for the weekend.
It's very much appreciated that Sam & Bob trusted you guys with the machinery, I even enjoyed the 2 stroke 'no blue smoke trail' .. 😂
Hope the return journey back home is as uneventful as the outward have a safe one.

Thanks for another lovely video mike I was 17 in October of 73 and cut my teeth on several different 2 strokes, but the tune I like to here is the triumph, bsa triple wearing a loud 3 into 1 exhaust. Also I believe they were raced in the states where they had 1050 big bore kits so if you happened to come across one I'd love to watch you ride watch it and here it ridden hard. Regaurds A .Biker.

That sound, indeed - is like a big slice of chocolate cake, Mike. perfect in every detail … real blokes confectionery!!
And my-dog! The engineering restorations are like at race track level.
The sound of the BSA… at just a tad throatier with the 2into1 than the Trophy, pulling down the highway together. Just wonderful. Thats chocolate cake, fine coffee and cognac right there.
Sometimes its just wonderful being a bloke when all those bits come together and responsibility seems like a million miles away - not relaxed and comfortable but confident and self assured.

Lots of miles I put on a Golden Flash, probably a '56 and also on Suzuki Titans as a service manager and mechanic back through the '70s. I see your Golden Flash with an alloy head, I'd only seen them with iron.

I love all the bikes in that amazing garage! When I was little my dad had a Yamaha RD350 that two stroke sound brought back many memories. We didn’t have any mosquitos 🦟 in our yard either! Thanks again for the ride Mike.

Two-Strokes- Nothing like the smell of Castrol R mix in the morning🤣👍 but to someone on four-strokes, they want you riding in the back of the pack. They do knock the mosquito's out🤣👍🇯🇵🇺🇲

Beautyful scenery, wonderful bikes, we would like to be part of this trip. It will be the perfection when you get closer with the bikes behind you. When you start from Stop at a crossing, we just have a small taste of the music of these others. We have a solo for BSA. What would be if a concerto for BSA, BSA alto, Triumph and Suzuki....
