FirePunk Diesel is a household name in the diesel racing world as it is the quickest diesel ever. 3.99 @ 182mph in the 1/8 mile - achieved in 2021 by the FirePunk crew. We were lucky enough to see it at two different events this year, as well as seeing it's last pass ever. We can't wait to see what Firepunk's new build will do!

Kids take note. Notice the amount of black smoke coming out of the quickest diesel in the world.
still cleaner than one private jet
Just think of all the power they’d feel if they used that fuel instead of letting it roll outta their 80 inch exhaust tip
Rolling Coal baby!!! Diesel Torque
Is there a point on there somewhere
@@Pookybutt3 I think the point here is that there is almost no black smoke comming from that truck, and the kids that roll coal is doing it wrong.
Man they tuned this thing perfectly 🥰
Oh HELL YEAH!
Lavon Miller is THE shit in Diesels!
Anyone else remember him as the KING of the Diesel Challenge thing some years ago?
What a cool crew. Not taking chances, making incremental changes to the setup with the goal to improve the car. And wanting to learn how that stuff works along the way. This is the right mindset for going fast not just in a diesel but any drag racing car. 😎✌️
Thanks guys for the diesel content!! I hope one day can go and watch diesel pro mod with my eyes! Firepunkdiesel is the king
diesel just makes INSANE torque i couldn't imagine experiencing even half of what that thing makes
I was thinking the same thing. Can’t imagine trying to manage 3000+ ft lbs.
@@danmyers9372 itd be either scary as hell at first or you go straight and still may need a new pair of pants. id wear khakis 😂
It just makes you think about how every engine is not the same but generally each engine configuration is generally the same output. Like V8s have just a bit more torque than hp, 4cyl have more holes than torque, and diesels make double the torque what they make in hp
@@M3rkme i went to school for auto technical service, man I love cars and engines specifically
I wish you could see how many thumbs down you have, including mine
I can't wait to see the new chassis! Awesome video guys!
The man can tune a diesel, clean running like they should. Props to them
He tuned the most powerful Cummins. Over 3,000hp 6.7 based motor
@@RadDadisRad no he didnt, unrivaled diesel passed the 3336 number, they made 3401 a few months back.
Wow it’s almost like that’s what happens when you add nitrous and water injection. Crazy
Nitrous and boost cleans the smoke
I LIKE THE FACT THAT IT GOES DOWN RANGE AND NOT FILL THE AIR WITH BLACK SMOKE,,VERY EFFICIENT..GOOD LUCK!
WHY ARE WE YELLING
That giggle Kyle makes priceless
I get all geeked up watching the diesels do their thing 🤘🏻
This is why firepunk tuning is on my 2006, lavon and his guys run a wicked programme!
You can purchase a tune from this guy?
@@kingdo777 firepunkdiesel
@@drake_24v_hawkins thank you
7 tenths faster than my dragster! Thanks sick
I like how clean this diesel runs.
Love those guys and I can’t wait to see the next car
8:50 you can tell they were happy was grooving, “ I like they way you move” 😂
firepunk guys are crazy
Cool seeing a team from my hometown featured!
Saw them run at the Crossville Dragway last year. Got videos of this truck running. Shit is insane!
Jeez that GT 350 has been my dream car for so long. The money would be nice, but for a mustang guy that car is a dream
his tune runs so clean! no lame smoke stacks covering the track
Wow it’s almost like that’s what happens when you add nitrous and water injection. Who woulda thunk it
I watch these guys at this level, and how quickly they move through the "Rolling Coal" exhaust...then I see those Diesels that are just chugging the Coal all the way down the track and shake my head remembering Gale Banks making a statement of "If you're making clouds of black smoke, you're leaving power on the table"
These are the kinds of Diesels I show to the Diesel Haters, and go "Hate the Person, not the Motor"
It's wild how little smoke that engine makes. Knowing diesels (I don't) either it's super duper toxic but not visible or something else lol
They run very lean on fuel and shoot a ton of nitrous to do that. On the track it is fairly easy to run mostly clean nowadays because its generally automatics, single turbo, and efi. On the street it is a completely different story. Impossible to make a high hp truck not make some smoke in certain circumstances, unlike what people in these comments will try to tell you. Too many variables for that to happen. But I agree with you. If you didn't know any better, some runs with this truck might fool you into thinking it is a gasser.
@@Jason00000 I really appreciate the explanation Jason. Have a great day.
@@Labergemusic same to you my friend
If I ever built a racecar I’d be taking notes here fellas 🤘🏻
Firepunk is the king of diesel
LOL at the oil alert on his dash
Sleeved Billet
Nothing like a bigblock 6 cylinder....Brings a new meaning to ....."just let her eat"!
10 years ago at NHRDA world finals,1/4 miles, thailand 4 cylinder diesel goes 8.2 second
They went 3.998 @182 with this truck, that’s high 6s in the quarter, no comparison.
@@thewespaul6520 thats 10year ago and 6s in the last 2 years
I remember seeing that thing at North Star dragway in Denton Texas it was awesome 👌
@@countrydrift5500 yeah that race at texas.experience for thailand.thats long jurney
Dang Kyle y’all built a sweet mustang. I’m definitely entering!!!
Watching this in person i had no idea i was watching its last passes
Good stuff guys ✌
When you were showing the GT350 with the sound bits it would have been better with the exhaust valves open. I see you had it in normal mode and valves are closed on that unless you manually open them and you can hear they were closed.
That's insane😵
Honestly my mind is blown, I had no idea diesel-powered vehicles could be so fast.
Actually the disel engines are more capable than the petrol ones but they cant be street legal cuz of too much smoke and other problems.
With that much HP on a diesel I would of expected a lot more torque
Engine dyno that engine makes about 3700hp
@@Thesongstaysthesame yes but normally they make about twice the torque as HP. Typically an engine of any sort that produces more horsepower than torque does so because they're just spinning the hell out of it. With horsepower being a product of torque plus RPM
If you were to use kw and nm it would be 2364kw and 5152nm of torque
I think they rev this one to like 6000rpm
@@leviduff2740 so it's probably more like a 1500 2,000 horsepower diesel that's just strung out. But you mean it's a race car so obviously you're not going to baby it
Hell yeah brother!! Diesel in the 3’s?!
Truck is quick!!!
Just AWESOME!😎💯
This is the good stuff.
Can someone explain what the white smoke coming out of the truck at 11:30 was? I've never seen that before and its not the exhaust
I don't know all that much about diesels but it almost seems like blow-by or it's releasing pressure from somewhere
Expansion tank basically, it’s made to relieve crank case pressure when the cars building boost on two step, the white smoke is blow by essentially same thing as catch cans in a sense
Yeah just lights em up the entire way down drag racing💪🏻💪🏻🤘🏻
That badass C10 was the coolest truck in this video!😍😍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪💪
Supper cool seeing the diesel run with those other cars
Do yall do Manuel driving lessons with the giveaway cars ?
Lavon makes some awesome tacos too.
Their car is proof you don't have to go down the track obscured by a cloud of black smoke to be a quick diesel.
Can someone explain to me why they are racing to the 8th and not the doing full quarter?
It’s cool cause you can’t just go buy that truck it’s been molded over time with tons of work and trials and failures learning how to achieve the goal good work men
Now you might be able to buy this one
Hope the Oklahoma 1320 stickers come back in stock.
Hi to everyone from the Mallee region of Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 love your work
that dude when the blue car backfired
Saw this truck in person back in 2019 at UNOH
7:15 is that a turbo charged go kart in the back round?
FYI they use a Bosch ECU in the Buggati Bolide.
Y’all going to live stream World Cup finals in Maryland?
Tire screaming down the track best part of pro mod diesel racing. Love the content that mustang is sweet I already have an envoy Denali with a upgraded engine
1:05 was that shmee lol
whatever team hobbit builds next is gonna be sick
Definitely familiar w the blue corvette 🫡
Dunno if id feel comfortable with 3200hp/3800ft lbs of open driveshaft anda clutch in arms reach..,
Yeah ALL the carnage 😈
where is the FL2k coverage?
15 min 20 seconds I've watched that 10x over 😳
@ 7min mark arms crossed gang life
Does anyone know that in races like these are Diesels only able to dun against other diesels or can they run again gas card or alcohol cars or promods can anyone answer me back with an answer if not thanks anyway
Drag racing is expensive.
Diesel drag racing is so expensive that it makes the federal reserve blush.
Are u guys gunna cover World Cup ??? Been slacking this year
Hasn't the Thai duramax 4 cyl gone 6s?
Is South Africa eligible to enter for the competition???
I smell the propane from here lol geeeeezzzuuuussss
is that in the quarter mile or 1/8th
They should try to beat the world record for towing a trailer with their truck. The Guinness book of world records is 141.998
WOOOOOOOOOW AWESOME AMAZING SUPERB ! ! ! ! ! !
Did anyone run 3.50's??
Why is the GT350’s gear knob skew?
Be amazeing to win that car dream come true for lot of people in this world
It’s pretty much a nitrous motor at this point I predict diesel’s will surpass promods if we keep pushing the limits; keep in mind we’re 50 years behind
Oh ya my stock 2002 7.3 F-350 would destroy this truck falling out of a airplane. That thing is sick and sounds great very impressed. Thanks for the great content.
Cummings are 7-3 we just know that it's going to last. Do wonder though, if I show up with a Geo storm with a Duramax engine in it, will they let me race in the import drags being at the Japanese built car with a Japanese built engine?
His car is beautiful, cool, very attractive. 👍😎
8:11 OKAY.... DAYUUUM!!!! ^.^
Why are the brakes on the Dyno truck glowing like that? Brake boosting?
Ga boys🙏🏼💪🏼
Is this full quater mile?, it looks short
intro is whole itsjusta6 in a nutshell
Last passes cuz we're bout to run outta diesel 😆
Chevy S-10. The quickest car in the world.
I can’t believe they can pass tech with the transmission exposed like that! SFI case or not, the power levels are getting crazy enough, that it’s only a matter of time till someone gets hurt. Sweet truck though.
Holds the record for the most powerful Cummins.
That fast and it doesn't need a firewall?!?!?! That think is a blown head gasket away from fucking the driver up. And the trans in these diesels are known to break frequently quick could also send a nasty amount of shrapnel I to him. It's pretty insane.
Is the world cup video late?
Lavon is the diesel goat
talk aboat power
can you imagine how fast that lil truck would go if they spent all that research development labour money and had a pertol powered motor not a motor designed for a school bus
FWIW I run hotshots secret everyday in all the diesels we have upon fueling.
No matter the car 1/8th mile racing is so underwhelming
Ricer bet you like slow laggy Hondas 😜
@@BenTheAVGNFan Hondas are fast now.... I used to agree but 1/8 mile is the future of drag racing. Safer, more cars, more attendance potential, takes up less land....
@@BenTheAVGNFan not at all just don’t like 1/8th mile racing, but shows how little you know about cars in the racing scene there’s plenty of 7 second Hondas out here
I feel you bro
Feed the trees :]
1:10 - honestly (I’m probably the minority) I wish it had the A10 instead of the 6-speed. That thing would be an absolute missile
Is the car listed with other non profits or the irs. I've seen on d gas lie about giving away a truck 3 times and I live by them its humiliating I could NEVER see Kyle do this tho
