i have never loved, laughed and cried so hard in a movie as much as this. Goodneighbor fan, did not watch the trailer. From laughing at kyle vids 6 years ago that my friends didn't get , to seeing this in theaters, I cannot wait for what kyle and dave make in the future.

Agreed. Mark actually has an interesting career if people look at the other movies he has done. And he's a great actor.

Mark Hamill seems like the coolest smartest guy in the world. He’s got such a positive disposition and especially after so many years of millions of fans going nuts on him about the same damn movie again and again like he’s Bill Murray in Groundhogs Day. And of course his vocal work is incomparable.
One of the most beautiful and amazing movies Ive seen in so long. I got my friend to watch it begrudgingly and she called me afterward and was freaking out how great she thought it was.

It's so disappointing to see how few of us viewed and/or commented on the various Brigsby promotional videos, I wish this movie did a lot better, I'm afraid Kyle won't be able to get his unique voice out there as much as he could because of that. Don't get me wrong, he'll always have sketches, and I love those, but it's just not the same as a feature length film that he put his soul into.

I definitely hope Kyle gets another chance to make a film, even if it isn't Brigsby-related. I agree, Brigsby Bear is a masterpiece, and I think if he makes something else it'll be a masterpiece too.
The man has been making videos for SO LONG it's awesome, he's like a veteran already and he's only in his thirties, and the fact that he's been doing it for that long makes me think he must have some incredible ideas that have been bouncing around in his head for years, and I think he will make another masterpiece one day, I really believe in him.

Short films like this will never make it to Australian shores, regretfully. Unless some credible film festival picks them up. This goes for the bulk of shorts: be it from the US or Europe or where ever.
Brigsby Bear is a feature film (not a short) that opens in select theaters this Friday in the US. Amongst the numerous prestigious film festivals it has screened... 2 were in Australia (Sydney Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival). It’s Australian release is planned for September 21st. Hope you get a chance to see it.
