Nice video! I enjoyed a walk along residential areas between Utica and Prospect Park, just north of Empire .. fantastic variety in neighborhoods and architecture ..I am a Minnesota guy, but love NY! As I was staying in Queens the last time I was there, I really did enjoy walking there too. Great variety, very interesting stuff! Walked a bunch of times from the Jackson Hts- Roosevelt Ave station up to LaGuardia, and loved all of what I saw .. you just don't get that in Minnesota..

I was born in the area in the sixties until 1972. They used to have that sound every Saturday at noon back then. I never knew what it was. I thought that sound didn't exist anymore

The words and letters are in Yiddish, actually! It uses Hebrew letters but it most certainly different. Hebrew is considered too sacred for daily use by the Ultra-Orthodox.
