      If you wanted to tank you should've played a full caster 🤷

    No wonder Mr. Dungeon tells him this, seeing as how he can canonically cast Power Word: Kill.
    I bet Mr. Dragon is the paladin who can smite for 2D8 damage!

    I'm currently playing Paladin of Conquest lol I can afford whatever I want as long as I achieve my goals and that's incredibly cool in the game.
    "It's not a war crime if you had fun!"
    You might think that this path would be much better suited to some evil wizard or warlock, but would you choose a metrosexual dragonborn killing machine with muscles like Schwarzenegger and a libido like there was a nuclear reactor inside, or a strange thin edgelord with additional voices in head?

    Yes, yes, Wizards are OP, but I hold that Paladins are the best designed class. As you level up in Paladin there is never a dud level up or that one really bad ability that you dread having to get past. Even Devine Sense, the Paladin’s undeniably weakest ability, is almost more of a ribbon feature as it comes online at level 1, the level at which you unlock proficiency with all armor and weapons as well as some healing. This all leads to a class that is strong but never brokenly so.

      Oh no they are brokenly strong it's just that full casters are even more broken compared a paladin to monk, ranger and even rogue and fighter (except in the cast of Echo Knight and a few other fighter or rogue subclasses) and a paladin is heads and shoulders above them

      @@baseupp12 I would say it’s not that paladins are broken so much as it is that all the classes without magic, and the ranger, are underpowered. Of the magic using classes Rangers are by far the weakest and Wizards the strongest. In my opinion Paladins are right there in the golden spot of being strong but not broken along with Artificers and all the full casters except Wizards. TLDR, magic is far stronger than martial and Paladins as a magic class is stronger than the pure martial classes.

    Paladins are so strong that you can't play them without prioritizing all your stats... lol just kidding, dump Int Wisdom and Dex, that definitely won't have any major ramifications for your saving throws! After all at 6th level, you get to add your charisma mod to them! Hope you don't die before then!
    But hey, you're doing some of the most damage possible with physical attacks aside from Hexblade, Bladesingers, Gloomstalkers, Echo Knights, Rune Knights, Assassins, or Moon Druids!

    • @baseupp12
      @baseupp12 2 місяці тому +4

      1 level of hex blade for a paladin puts you over most of the list

      @@baseupp12 It's looking like Pact of the Blade will be available with eldritch adept, so potentially you wouldn't even need to multiclass unless they add prerequisites in the final printing. Additionally, they played around with it only scaling with warlock levels, so that is something to consider.
      But no. Paladins still don't hit the new Assassin levels of dps, nor the gloomstalkers, new moondruids, bladesinger (depending on whether they nerf some spells or not), or straight warlock with the new invocations for extra attacks, healing attacks, leeching attacks, and eldritch smite. You have to remember, Warlock eldritch smite is usable more than one time a turn. And they get charisma to weapon attack damage twice at 3rd tier. And the now recover more spells.
      Atleast Paladins have thier emanations.
      Oh, and depeding on the party, an echo knight can attack something like 8 times in a turn at level 5 doing a one time insane nova burst.
