    You asked first comments on how other farmers are coming along, well I got it all in after a long rain delay between corn and beans. My no-tilled bean ground just didn’t dry out. As of the posting of this video I had just got done either sidedressing corn an also had by post application done in my corn too. I’m in a small pocket in my area of the state that missed the really heavy rain, we still have plenty moisture. I’m just afraid that we got all our rain right away and it will turn off and turn hot and dry with no root to pull it through the year. I hope I’m wrong.

      @farmingwithkels5264  2 місяці тому

      Thanks so much for commenting about that! Truly love hearing about other farm operations and workers out there! :) Happy to hear you have no-till ground as well! Great to know you got it all in! Good work! It was wild indeed! The rain, amounts, and where it started and stopped sometimes just mile away makes huge difference! That’s great you’ve been side dressing corn and feeling the progress of the crop! :) I’m hoping the rain doesn’t stop for rest of summer either! Lol

      @@farmingwithkels5264 well, after sending my comment, my mother and I got 4 inches of rain. I will lose some because of a slow draining main county tile. Now the forecast for tomorrow through Saturday puts me in the 3 inch range again. I don’t want another quarter inch. This was my first year with no-till on beans and min till on corn. I’ve just dipped my toe in the waters of conservation farming. I just attended a workshop on covercrops and carbon intensity stuff. A lot to learn. Over all my crops still look good considering the “moistness” of the ground. Hope your stuff looks good as well, you were almost mudding in some corn.

    Did I misunderstood that you are working your ground after it was rolled??

    • @farmingwithkels5264
      @farmingwithkels5264  2 місяці тому

      Oh! Nope I’m not! Lol! Sorry if I messed up with my wording, It was worked ground to begin with, compared to our normal ground isn’t worked. That piece we had to work up from tile project last fall, then we got some rocks off and decided it was still way too many and ran out of time as well, so we rolled that field and then I came across and planted it after it being rolled!:)
