The respect between these 2 coaches is awesome. Both similar style players and coaches.

I think our goalie [canucks] just was amazing tonight. The amount of shot Desmith took and stopped was great.

As a Nucks fan, I respect this man!...also was a great player too!

Canucks fan here and I gotta say that Brunette handled that beautifully. I'm a bit worried after seeing it because I know that usually, the hockey gods respond to these types of interviews. The Canucks better up their game because I know the Preds are going to get some bounces next game and they better be ready for war.

Yeah Canucks need to stay out of the box. Nashville is not taking advantage of their pp opportunities but they are overdue. Far too many penalties. And playing a complete defensive game after getting the lead is playing with fire as well. Sometimes the best defense is to keep the puck in the other team's zone.

Tocchet was right! He looked at Vegas with giant defenceman and copied that. When they are ahead they play Huggy less and put out the big boys. When Canucks need offence they put out Huggy more.

He was a great player as well

So he didn't like the Joshua hit. But the guy who ran the goalie was something that 'just happened'. Predicting a soul crushing blowout tomorrow :)

Let's be clear he said he didn't like it because they lost a player. That's a lot different than saying it was a dirty play by Joshua. Of course you'll see things different as the coach for the opposing team.

His demeanour reminds me of Tocchet. Smart, thoughtful, very well spoken. The Canucks are very well coached but so is Nashville. They're going to come even harder in game 4. Vancouver better be ready.

We are going to come harder in game 4 also, and we will be bearing down on you in the neutral zone. So get ready we are going to tweak some things and be even better in game 4.

You guys need to clean up the goonery hockey, hitting our goalie, roughing up Huges is lousy, time for payback, get ready.

@@raymeus did I say I was a Nashville fan? No I am a hardcore Vancouver fan. That's why I made that comment about Tocchet. I have seen him speak dozens of times this year. I was just showing respect for our opponents. They didn't win but that was their best game of the series.

Vancouver is a team of destiny. Some Nashville fans may not agree and some Vancouver fans may not agree but it’s true.

Nashville doesn't have the talent or the size to compete. They are a grinding team but they are not the same talent level as the Canucks.

I hope the Canucks win. It will be payback against Brunette for the 2003 playoffs.

What happened that playoff year? That was the West Coast Express era right? Drawing a blank...but I think he played with Colorado then?

    • @danielpatterson5189

Hmmm or was that the year they blew the 3-1 lead to the Wild?

@@danielpatterson5189 Brunette was part of the Minnesota Wild team that took out the Colorado Avalanche after being down 3 games to 1 and then took out the Canucks after being down 3 games to 1 as well in back-to-back series. They then proceeded to get swept by the Anaheim Ducks 4-0 in the conference final.
