I have an 18 horse Wisconsin that my grandfather had in his boat similar to this, I really like the design, considering building something similar. I would like to get the engine back on the water, Nice boat, nice detail, just enough class but still a working boat
most appropriate. these wonderfull small engines are often over taxed when installed in sailboats that are too big.. and in spaces where basic maintenance is extremely hard to do.. and is usually ignored. There is a 4 to one reduction in fuel use vs a 2 stroke OB.. boats are one of the applications for diesel engines where the environmental plusses... balanace out the negatives... since carbon particulates generally wont become airborne.. Power boats get terrible fuel economy.. nature of the beast.. so this order of reduction is giant reduction in fuel use. Of course the scale of this boat is wonderful to begin with.. win, win , win. Glad you got her back, Ross. !
you could have left the music off and just listened to the sound of that sweet diesel. Great boat and a great designer, Bolger was one of a kind.
