The white coat is gorgeous! Pass it on to someone who likes it as is. It would break my heart to see you seam rip so much hard work. I'm surprised you didn't anticipate the issue with the peplum though. As you say, you prefer clothes that accentuate your narrow waist, and the peplum hits right at the widest point of your hips!
Mainly agree with your choices of both hits and misses. I'm particularly glad you've identified the issues around colour- the tan brown pieces do you no favours they just don't suit you ( as seen via computer screen), but may look better in real life.
Hi, your wins are just gorgeous 😊. The border print dress is stunning. I also find I need to make clothing out of strong, rich colours (I am an Autumn colour palette). I made a dress out of a ditsy peach floral and it just isn’t me. Whilst I am happy to wear a rich chocolate brown, I am not so sure about the paler shades of brown - I just feel blah. So I think it is OK to learn these things about ourselves in our sewing journey. I just love your style - it suits you so beautifully - and your channel is an absolute delight to watch. 🌸
I love the white coat on you but if you don’t feel happy in it pass it onto someone else as it is because it is beautiful and someone else will love it! I love your assessments, reflection is such a good thing to do for moving forward.
I love the cream coat but not sure about styling it with jeans. I would like to see how it looks over your dresses. Would give a 50 s Dior nipped in look?
Have you ever died fabric? I think the various items you aren’t in love with could be fabulous if they were a different color. You can use any color and intensity if you died them.
Would another option for the coat peplum be to remove bulk from it? Instead of adding volume via godets, to cut into it and remove godets? Possibly better if it's removed from the coat first and then restitched because I think it's a good length on you but the volume is just a bit comical imo. I think with removing a bit from it it can look really well
A very accurate assessment. The hits are all fabulous and look beautiful on you. The cream jacket is lovely, but muted fabric colours of the misses definitely aren’t you.
If you don't love a fabric/print/colour and don't feel fabulous in it, you won't reach for the garment, so I'm not sure there's any point investing more time and effort trying to make the "fails" work for you. You'll always favour garments made in bright saturated colours. If you loved the prints and colours of those separates, for example, you could join the tops to the skirts to create dresses. But I'm not convinced they'd end up being dresses you love anyway, because the colours are too muted for your liking. It's totally subjective... I suggest you destash them and move on.
I love your content and you are very stylish and I love your choices! One thing though: I have a hard time watching your videos because of eye strain. Your back shelf of fabric is what your camera is focused on and you are very blurry. I don't want to be critical but I find it hard to watch your wonderful videos. Thank you and I feel terrible but I love your content!
I totally understand, the camera does wander in and out of focus regardless of me either setting it to focus on one spot or having it auto focus on my head!! It's definitely a me problem and I am trying to work out a solution
I still think that white coat looks stunning on you, but if you won’t wear it, just pass it on because you did a beautiful job on the construction ❤

Two things I love your hits and I think it’s a testament to your amazing talent that even your misses are pretty great

I like those matching separates and think they great on you - both as a co-ord and swapped
❤❤ I agree with you on those brown loungewear. It’s just not a colour I’d expect to see you wearing and was surprised you owned that colour
My favorite is the 7974 border print! 😍 everything is so right! I also love your shrugs.
I would actually wear a really bright, fitted, cropped sweater with those "fail" skirts.

I agree with your misses however I do think the blue top in the misses looks really nice on you.

I think you look fantastic in all your makes. But at the end of the day you have to dress in a way that makes you feel good.
