When the foley team of Skywalker Sound is being mentioned, I immediately think of Jana Vance... and Dennie Thorpe. They were the real foley masters of the '90s and 00's. And they are still working to this day, on some of the films the company assists to. Sean England, Ronnie Brown and Ellen Heuer are also worked there as foley artists... (I hope I remember their names correctly)
Oh man, the audio of this video is really raw and unbalanced. Why is the interview part so quiet and the studio performance examples so loud?
Wow - I am amazed that they still use traditional physical props to create the sound, I expected they would use a sound library.
I mean less customization and skywalker sound studios usually sound better than other studios
They would never use a sound that was potentially used elsewhere. Skywalker only makes handcrafted audio for their movies. It’s their mantra.
You know, someone has to make the sounds for a sound library too
