  • You ever have one of them days where you feel like if it was raining soup, you’d be stuck outside with nothing but a fork? Yeah… me too… but that’s life and that’s why I picked this song. It was written by Dean Kay and Kelly Gordon. It was first recorded in 1963 by jazz singer Marian Maud Runnells. It’s supposed to be a song with an uplifting message that despite life’s ups and downs don’t give up, keep trying, because you could be back on top. I agree but the last line says, “If there's nothing shaking, come this here July I'm gonna roll myself up in a big ball and die.” That is not very inspirational. Since my poetic license hasn’t expired, I changed it. It seems no matter which road you choose to travel on there will always be potholes. All we can do is keep on trying or give up and die. I don’t know about but I ain’t just quite ready to die 😉
