Nor cal Dave you’re my favorite HVACR UA-camr! I’ve only been here a little, only a couple yrs in the trade so I’m still learning ! I get so pumped when I see you posted a video
Hey Dave, great video as always! If you can’t get the micron gauge figured out, I have had great luck with BluVac tech support, very nice and helpful people!
My company installs a lot of Witt/Russell equipment. Just make sure you read the manual and add the correct winter charge. Clear cut (x) model gets (x) additional charge. Also I’m not a fan of the relay in the evap. I never use it and just allow fans to run on high speed regardless of tstat status. Screw that multi speed crap.
Wow! Super Dave is working someplace that is clean for once! Great work Dave but yeah I cringed when I saw the rubbatex going over the unsealed pipe. I give that job a 9.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Very professional!
I Almost Forgot to mention. Re: Sliding insultubing on copper. i use the Orange caps that come on soft copper rolls. Makes it Really to Slide the Tubing on while also protecting from getting insulation pieces in the copper tube which will undoubtedly happen and then end up in the compressor oil. I poke a Hole in the center of the orange cap to let nitro out while purging too so pressure doesnot build up blowing the cap off.
Nice job Dave looks very professional. I had a Blu-vac that wouldn’t make the come back, I tried everything including carburetor cleaner at the end 😞. Hope you have better luck. That nitrogen hose is long enough to leave the bottle in the truck😂.
Great video Dave 👍 pipe insulation pro! I wonder myself with the micro channel compared to tube and fin with there charges if you find any info on it be a good video keep up the good work!!
You do extremely good service work and really nice installs. I would like to see you install your next walk-in with Stay-Brite 8. I know that you can. I have been using Stay-Brite 8 on all of my new installs for some time now. It's faster and much easier. No flowing nitrogen, no oxy-acetylene rig, no excessive wet rag wrapping of valves and filters, and no leaks. Also, valves and filters are much easier to change out if you have to. When I was installing super markets I brazed everything. I wouldn't braze any joints now except for copper to steel and joints that would be inaccessible in the future like in trenches to be covered with concrete or risers in a hidden chase, and etc.
Great video Dave. Reminder when you put the insulation through the pipe you forgot to cover it up the powder of the insulation doesn’t go in through inside the pipe.
I don't mean to be a youtube police, but i think you're asking for trouble by not covering that pipe before slipping on the insulation...otherwise neat install....link the hose, i think i wanna use that set up
Just an air hose. Be careful to get one rated for high psi. Your regulator can go 500psi or more. The air hoses need to be rated for as high as your regulator
Nor-Cal Refrigeration & H.V.A.C I just got a set to use with mq (mainly do residential)To replace my titans p51-870 But idn why people say they suck so im worried about buying them

been shopping for that bluvac micron gauge love it then they quit selling them Crap now its accuprobe wifi really man squeeze the working guys in the field BS amen greed as usual jeez cmon!!!
Like # 183. Good vid. I Like the Outdoor unit up there. Nobody Will Smash stuff into the unit & damage it which will undoubtedly be used for Storage up there. What Was Your Reasoning Behind putting a Outdoor unit up there ? Instead of a indoor / Cheaper unit.

Thanks Todd.
Nice Install N-C Dave! Also like the idea of using air hose to extend Nitro purge!
Nice job Dave! Hope you guys are well! Thanks for sharing! 👍
Great Dave. I always seal the end of the tubing with electric tape before I slip insulation over it. Just me ya know.
Or I always have old caps in my bag to throw on.
Same here. Its all over if a piece of insulation get stuck in the line. Unless you blow the hell out it
I never cover up. Been lucky I guess. 🤘⚡️🤘
The insul tube we get have a bunch of white powder in it. I don’t know if I’d want that getting in the pipe.
Bruce Crutchfield some times is today was a dry hump. 🤣😂🤣🤣
Another great video Dave 👍👍👍
Nice looking install Dave 👍 Hope you get that Blue Vac mini up & running. Expensive little tool right there!
100$
@@NorCal-refrigeration Sounds like you got a deal on it, but expensive enough to want it to work! 👍
Great job thanka for the tip on the cutter. That Russell had a relay i haven't seen that before what was is the purpose for it.

Did you build the box too?? Those are easy installation boxes. Turn hook clamps. Good stuff be safe out there brother Dave
Great video. Nice looking install. Still waiting for the video telling us the gators are for sale. I’m getting one for sure.
Dave , a wise man like you should know better : Always tape up your pipe before you slide it in ! 😅😅😅
Great video Dave. Reminder when you put the insulation through the pipe you forgot to cover it up the powder of the insulation doesn’t go in through inside the pipe.
That’s correct
Only in Santa Cruz do they put indoor evaps outdoor and outdoor indoor
Why did you choose an outdoor-unit for indoor purpose?
If OIL shows on the display after performing repeated alcohol cleanings you probably need to do a
freezer calibration see manual
Thanks I will look into that.
he probably doesn't have 99% alcohol to clean with, I don't it's allowed in commiefoolia
Art you worried about getting insulation in line set
So like crc electronic cleaner works? Been struggling to find alcohol local to clean my micron gauge.
Clean clean clean install
With the compressor being higher than the evap did you need to add traps?
Not really it’s for long rise.
too short of a line-set? thinking again, it's REFER equipment with receiver (herp-derp me)
So nice when its new
Those fan motors are absolute junk in Russell equipment.
What books would you recommend for residential hvac techs to learn the refrigeration side

Damn it man, hope you get the bluevac working, I just got one. Do you think it is worth keeping on a ball valve?
