Hi guys, Karibu Sana Kenya! 🇰🇪🇺🇸 I took my exodus in 2021 at 59yrs . However, I did my research and traveled to Kenya since 2010. ❤ Kenya and I have retired here. I did purchase a home and land in order to invest in Kenya and make Kenya my 🛖home (debt free) . America is my Country but Kenya is my home. In short, enjoy your stay in Kenya when you return and know you have a sistah living in Kilifi-Kenya.
Karibu tena my brother and sister. Please share your skills and knowledge with the people of Kenya. Kenyans indeed have a critical mass of highly educated people but more skills and knowledge is still needed to develop the economy. Share your resources too through investing not giving hand outs.

Saidah's heart and mind is in Kenya and the body is in the US 😂😂😂. I lost count for the number of times she said "here in Kenya" and Germaine had to keep correcting her 😂😂😂. Looking forward to seeing some of your kinfolk. The Kenyan hoodie on Germaine looks good on him and thanks for repping Kenya. Baadaye 👋🏽
In 2019 at least 250,000 to 300,000 from US visited Kenya . At the time 36,000 to 40,000 from US lived in Kenya permanently (US state department) primarily Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa . After the Pandemic the numbers have shifted up to favor black from US . The continent e.g Rwanda, TZ, Kenya etc is bliss for diaspora entrepreneurs with capital .
The capital coming from the US favors non-black founders . Google has opened product development hubs Kenya, Ghana . White founder 47,000% more likely to be funded in Kenya than the US by US White Venture capitalists .
This is just your best vlog ever - so authentic and on point. We miss you guys already. Come back to home - to Kenya. God bless as you work in God's vineyard in Kenya. Have a blessed Christmas for both you and your extended family.
There seems to be a growing community of black Americans and black diaspora moving to Kenya, i too will join. Black Americans are of west African descent not east. Saidah looks west African esp ghana/liberia/Togo. Jermaine looks very south african. Either way you all are amazing and love the content. Keep'em coming!
Always great catching up with you, Germain that hoodie is fire!, I bet folks will ask you to sell it to them, you should have carried several and looking forward to seeing the grandkids. Have a blessed festive season!
YOU ARE A GENUINE COUPLE. GOD BLESS YOU. I have lived in USA for 28years now. I go back home every two years. I would love for you guys to visit Nakuru, my hometown. You will love it
ELDORET is the place known for runners. It’s another city about 100miles from Nakuru. Nakuru is world famous flamingoes on Lake Nakuru and Menengai crater, a massive shield volcano with one of the world’s biggest Calderas.
The Nilotic Luo of Lower Egypt/Sudan typically tall like Obama(Obama 6'2") and Obama father, grandfather(6'2"-6'4") . The Hausa-Fulani of West Africa(Senegal, Gambia, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad etc) are typically taller and lighter . The Wolof of Senegal and the Dinka, Nuer of Sudan typically taller and darker . Bantu pygmie of Congo typically the shortest groups in the planet . San and Khoikhoi native groups of Southern Africa typically shorter and lighter .
Unlike Other large groups in the continent like the Hausa-Fulani of West Africa, the Nilotic Luo(like other Nilotic groups including Maasai) did not practice slavery after Conquest of their neighbors instead they assimilated other groups and expanded through extra-group integration . Hence the Nilotic Luo of Sudan/Lower Egypt, Chad, Central Africa Republic, DRC Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia Gambella/Eritrea, Cameroon(Bantu assimilated by 1990s) and assimilated groups such as Luo-Langi, Luo-Kumam, Luo-Babiito of Uganda and Luo-Suba of Kenya, Tanzania .
And unlike other larger groups like the Bantu Zulu of southern Africa, the Nilotic Luo did not eliminate their neighbors after conquest, instead they integrated them into their organization systems through an elaborate system of intermarriage, clan formation and swearing allegiance to the warrior chiefs . Hence the success of the of the Luo-Babiito Kingdom under Bunyoro Kitara in Uganda(one of historical most successful Kingdoms in East and Central Africa that more than 500 years or 18 generations until its dissolution first by Uganda government in 1967 and later by Idi Amin in 1971 ) .
It’s clear for me that I want to move abroad. I have questions about getting your mail. Paying taxes to the U.S. Being double taxed in Kenya and the U.S.
Germaine, luo🤗....kikuyu is a perfect fit. And the baadaye is always on point. You sound like a Nairobian specifically from eastlands. Always nice watching your videos.
Interesting video and information. Moving to a new country takes a great while to get used to the area, people, customs, services, government, etc., Hope your journey goes well. Am sure many of your audience is already aware, but if not, in reading American history, many Black Americans ancestors, during the slave trade, were taken from the West Coast of Africa, specifically, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Mali, Gambia, Guinea, Senegal, Cameroon, plus others. With this, West Africa is where their great grandparents came from and many of those had very vast wealth, gold and land. So their ancestors who are presently living in America in the Southern part of US, Canada, Europe and also living in Jamaica , the Caribbean etc., should really check their ancestorial lands and inheritance in the West Coast of Africa. Fascinating though that more Black Americans are not seeking their ancestors in West Africa, thus missing out on their ancestorial land. There was a video of Ghana giving the Black Americans instant citizenship. Now, if you have some family in this country (Kenya) then it's good you have moved there and are acclimating somewhat. Also, people should save up, especially if they are not receiving a monthly pension. Though the African countries are not very expensive compared to Europe and America, You still need your own money for purchasing House, Automobile, Food, clothing etc. There are no handouts in Africa. No services like Europe or America.
Whats wrong with saying if u left because its terrible america is the unsafe most dangerous country on the planet safety organic fruits and vegetables and low cost of living is ideal reasons for relocating
It’s nothing wrong with saying it but we would be lying. That’s not why we left. Kenya is just a great place to live. We’re not running from America. We’re just running to Kenya. Also In the US, safety depends on your location amongst other factors.
You guys look so young, and it's hard to believe that you are my parents' age. I welcome you to visit Central Kenya, I promise to be your free personal guide.
Leaving America was not....its about the time. It's WHEN your eyes got opened, and u started "seeing" the rest of the world. Then discovered that there is another home for you. Congrats!🎉

Kenya is truly home for you all. Can’t wait to see the rest of your family. Wishing you both and your loved ones a Merry Christmas-enjoy every moment together!
I would be more inclined to believe that they have more west african DNA because of the Trans Atlantic Trade. East Africa doesnt border the Atlantic ocean it borders the Indian Ocean hence it participated in the Indian Ocean Trade amd Trans Saharan trade which was mostly an Arab Slave Trade. I would say mostly West Africa maybe Congo or Angola at most. If they do have East Africa DNA ots not from Slave Trade most likely from recent Immigration like Obama and Tiffany Haddish. But yes the Guy looks very mucn Kikuyu and the lady looks like she could be from Western

It depends in which State you live in the US. Because its hard to get an house in New York and you could never survive on a minimum wage or average job here in NY. You get to have another hustle to supplement that. E.g. I live in Brooklyn more specifically Canarsie which is dubbed a black area you can't get an house less than 600k
I must admit that you are correct. Saidah is from NY also. But I will say that we used to tell my brother-in-laws to move down south. The one that did has a house.
This guy is a Maasai and the lady is a Luhya, I don't know why you all can't see that. Their birth certificates are at Huduma center, still uncollected after all these yrs.
When you talk about "moral" and "social" systems, it reminds me that many traditional value white American Christians are moving more to Russia etc. I wonder where traditional values African Americans will fit better. Credit access is easier to obtain in the US, so easier to buy property or pay later as you work. But the little advantage that Kenyans have is that they have the so called "Reserves/reservations" or village homes and family land, where you do not need to buy a home, pay rent, and you grow own food or get from neighbours, but little opportunities for formal jobs.
Yah Germain you could be Luo from Siaya which are lighter skin. Saida even your name gives a coast vibe plus your gentle demeanor like you could be Taita.
