Hi, I'm from Kenya, but I live here in USA, I enjoy watching you with your Husband, I will miss you, I wish u a happy Christmas 🎄 and New year be blessed.
We’re looking forward to spending time with family and sharing our experiences before returning to Kenya! Stay tuned, Merry Christmas to you too and be blessed!
I am visiting Nairobi in January. I will go through your videos to see if you have already talked about preparing (on the U.S. side) for the visit/move.
We don't have any videos about preparing on the U.S. side for a visit/move to Kenya. We cover that in our consultations based on the plans our clients have for their time in Nairobi.
Hello, I am traveling to Nairobi in January. What would you suggest for cell phone. Can I use my US phone on Wifi? Would you get a phone to use in Kenya? I'm only there for 10 days
👋🏾 You do not need to get a phone to use in Kenya. You can use your cell phone if you have an international plan or the cheaper option will be getting a Kenya e-sim card with a data plan to make calls while you’re here. You both look like typical kenyans. I am a Kenyan living in UK and to be honest your budget is on the higher side. Wish you can learn kiswahili because some naughty people might inflate your bills because of American accent thinking you don't know what's on the ground. ( it happened to me when I visited Thailand) some kikuyus and people from the coast look exactly like your husband. Saidah looks like a luhya. If not for the American accent noone would know you are not Kenyans
We are slowly learning how to speak Swahili. We do understand that our budget is on the higher side which is mainly for rent. Usually most of the things we buy has prices on them already. We are well aware of “Mzunga “ tax. We have found that our budget is not far off from some Americans in Kenya. Thank you for your advice. I can tell it comes from a good place.
Anyone who wants to move to another country should travel there for at least a month or more, so you can have a feeling of the country, culture, and different places to live. Being in a country for 3 months or a year does not make you an expert. I think this is so misleading when you are offering paid advice on something you don't have any clues.
Apparently you are new here so let us get you up to speed. We’ve been to Kenya several times since 2016. The goal is to open up conversation and clear up misconceptions between Kenyans and Americans. We also want to make AA comfortable coming to a new country and continent. We have been to several countries and feel we have a good grasp on how to accomplish our goals. If you have a better way to do that then you are free to share.
I have been watching you guys and other foreigners and I think the biggest mistake you make is to insist on living in high end places where the rent is waaaaaay too high...be more open minded...but I know with time you will find your footing ❤❤i come in peace .. focus on building than renting...if you friends are rich kids you are in the wrong hands coz those ones 😂😂 don't think they are used to dads money...
I would call it an informed decision after weighing the risks, I would not call it a mistake. I believe they have mentioned concerns with purchasing land and building in Kenya which is fair. They had a tough time at Nyayo House, sembuse Ardhi House??? In addition, their children are adults.
They are used to a certain level of lifestyle. I totally understand why they choose those "expensive" places. I'm also Kenyan but after living abroad for decades I'm not coming back to live the way I used to live, u can't expect foreigners to live like a typical Kenyan
DO NOTTT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COFFER. PLEASE. MAYBE, MAYBE ONE OF THEM IS A DOCTOR AND THE OTHER A REALTOR. WHAT EVER YOU DO NOTTT KNOWWW. GOD BLESS YOU
