  • We found a SECRET Island hopping tour in the north of Siargao, Philippines! We were literally the only visitors on these islands 😮 We found a hidden lake, an invisible sand bar and tons of beautiful, completely secluded islands 😍
    There's no official website to book this trip through, but they do have a facebook page here: / sanbenitourismoffice . To organize this island hopping trip, head up to San Benito and visit the tourism office, which is a small building next to the basketball court at the docks (here's the exact location goo.gl/maps/p2.... It’s about an hour scooter ride to San Benito from General Luna, and you need to stop by and book your tour trip a day or two before you want to go.

    Those islands looked SO amazing! We shot some vlogs island hopping in the Philippines, but most islands were swamped with tourists. It's amazing to see a whole bunch of islands basically deserted. We can't wait to go back and DEFINITELY want to check out Siargao ❤️

    🙀Wow! A new birth of an island being born... That little bitty baby island, you could literally see the waves crashing on it from all sides... I’ve never seen anything like that! That was awesome to actually see. 👍 plus the main island was just covered with nothing but palm trees as far as your eyes can see 🌴 I must go to the Philippines one day.

      @@mapesdhs597 yes I sometimes use a drone and the laws are getting stricter and stricter unfortunately... Unless your in a private field with no people for a half a mile your safe. But if your drone is small enough, just use common sense and film where you want I say 😊

    • @mapesdhs597
      @mapesdhs597 4 роки тому

      @@BrendanExplores Do you find people complain much? If you're visiting somewhere, is it the site owners who tend to object, or other visitors? The main places I'd like to use a drone are the castle ruins and ancient sites I visit while on holiday (standing stones, follies, etc.). Most of these do tend to be out of the way, but not all. I'd been considering something from the Mavic Pro series (I like the quality of the Phantom range, but just too bulky). Did you do much in the way of legalise research before buying a drone? Which model did you buy? How have your experiences in practice matched what the rules are supposed to be, eg. are authorities often more restrictive than they should be?
      Besides holidays, the other place I'd like to film is the Glen Sannox valley on the Isle of Arran, where my parents once lived; perhaps other parts of the island too.
      I was wondering, when people do object, what is it that bugs them the most do you think? The noise? Some sense of invasion of privacy? (the latter a bit weird if they're in a public place) What do you do if someone objects even if you're defiinitely not in a restricted zone? Just err on the side of not wanting to annoy them?
      Where I live in Edinburgh there is unsurprisingly a large no-go zone around the airport, I'm just a few hundred metres outside the zone:
      www.noflydrones.co.uk/
      Thus, in theory I could fly a drone where I am, but it's a suburban area so I suspect people would freak out more just on basic privacy grounds. Besides, far too many hazards in such a place such as overhead cables, etc.
      Arran thankfully seems to be in the clear, which is surprising since the airforce sometimes use the island for flight training (similar terrain to the Falklands). Perhaps some restricted zones are temporary.

    Hi Eric and Allison! I'm glad you had a blast in Siargao. I do hope next time you visit, you'll get to see all the places you weren't able to see. El Nido and Coron are beautiful as well, and I recommend staying at The Birdhouse El Nido. When you return to Manila, I highly recommend splurging at the Spiral Buffet of Sofitel Manila. Tal of TheTravellingClatt tried it 2 years ago (he has a video of it) with his friends before. It's been voted as one of the best buffets in Asia, yet still relatively cheap compared to others in Asia and in Las Vegas.

    Love this episode, and excited that you'll be visiting Indonesia again. I am based here and would be epic to bump into you both--been watching your channel for a while and all in all love your content. I really hope that you will go beyond Bali: the Nusa Islands are must-sees; as well as neighbouring islands Lombok (do stay down south in Kuta Lombok, some of the best beaches I've ever seen); Flores (where the Komodo dragons reside, plus they'll close the island for development soon so better visit it now); and Sumba. Indonesia is one giant archipelago with a wealth of beautiful islands to offer beyond Bali ;)

We had a crazy boat ride once in a storm--it was so bad that my dad and my sister had to tie themselves to the boat (they were up top) and I was in the cabin and it was so bad that I was kind of weightless because of how much the boat went up and down. We still talk about that ride!

    I always wondered why they don't use Keen or another water shoe that has a hard bottom but sandal top. I've never been so nervous watching people hike in flip flops. woooooosaaaaaa
