I'm looking forward to hearing how to really feel about any advantages to a fat bike over a standard. I sometimes think a standard-width studded tire would be adequate. If I'm riding a groomed winter trail, my regular bike performs quite well on winter loops.
@paulmurphy7626 With the wider tire/lower air pressure, there is more stability than the narrower tire. Studs will always help, but, studs + fat tire = best stability/traction.
