Wow, that's music to my ears.
Mate...I can't belive how nice it drives now...I keep looking for excuses to get out and drive it, I pretend that I forgot to buy something from the supermarket just so I can go out and floor it! 😂
Nice one man, excellent engines, look forward to seeing this truck finished
Sounds sweet! Nice video! When I get my 100 series I know who to come to! Lol!
Wow 👍 nice work
Super job, going to tackle the same job in a few weeks
Nice one mate...definitely worth it!
Nice work. well done
Thank you!!!
1 kz is a nice and powerful engine, you are going to enjoy. I always do the swap but If you want to drive it for along time, you have to do service every 3000km. Nice work
Very true!i'm looking after this 1kz-t engine...it is a brilliant engine!
Inspiring. Doing same to mine soon.
Worth doing it man, much more power and torque,
Awesome work. You’ve inspired me to do mine. I’ve got a 4Runner Kzt waiting to go into my LJ. Mines an auto though😬🤘🏼
Auto might be different, mine is manual, on auto gearbox you got the transmission ECU! Unless the 1kz is auto and LJ is manual...In this case don't forget to keep the 1kzt bellhousing so you can bolt it straight to the gearbox.
The Land Cruiser Channel heaps more power? More smiles😁. Yes my LJ is an auto..Yep auto trans is connected up to ecu so a lot more complex conversion. My 4Runner is a manual but I’ve got a spare bell housing from an auto surf. After conversion I will need a separate stand-alone tcu to run the gearbox. Which air box did you use?
@@finesoul677 I did used the 4runner air box with some leftover intercooler elbow and silicone connections , doesn't fit bolt on but until I get a proper one that will do...
Excellent work. Can you please tell which diffs are you using? In case of 4.88 (of LJ78) with stock sized tyres and 1kz te engine, I have heard that vehicle can overheat on the highway driving under load. Don't know for sure though.
I'm using 4.88 original diffs...never had problems with overheating!
Awesome build! I have an R151 gesrbox off of a 2LTE and was wonder would it bolt up do i need to get a 1kz bellhousing? Also if i do need a bellhousing where could I order one?
I had miine from the donnor car including with the 1kz engine. You can probably find new one but its gonna be expensive. Or look up on facebook groups maybe.
So when you did the swap did you have to reposition the old mounts for new motor or are they same
I have made some adaptor plates, i should have cut the mounts and move them back but i decided to go with the plates...recomand to cut and reposition , looks more, factory aswell.
I've just bought a 1995 KZJ77 which came stock with the 1kz-T....where did you get the radiator I saw fitted in this swap? Looks massive and I live in a tropical climate with steep mountain roads so I need to keep cool
Hi mate...thats a great car..well..the radiator was from Ebay, the actual radiator from this car was for the 2L-TE engine...the 2.5 td...but I've modified the hoses and water filler cap and it works great!
@@flenbo76 replacing an radiator is quite simple, I also do have a video on my channel replacing the actual radiator , but when the car had the original engine in it...
Sure thing buddy, I can privide all the help you need! 👌
4.2 is the best
The fuel consumptions is higher on the 1KZ correct
Not big difference to be honest...cos i'm running oversized tyres, and cos of thr 1kz the car runs smoothly, with 2lte was a bit slow and comparing the fuel consumption is the same...of course if i go back to normal tyres we are talking different numbers.
Waw great,
Couldn't you help me, my question is: what is transmission you make it.. and bellhousing to fit 1kz..
Hi there...I used 1kz bellhousing to the original 2LTE gearbox, (R151F) gearbox code., with exedy heavy duty clutch kit.
@@TheLandCruiserChannel thanks, Wonderfull switch I will try it.. on my champer truck.. I hope plug and play to fit 1kz engine with R151F transmission..
And do you used transfer case R151F..
@@indafiqkurniawan250 yes, complete gearbox, good luck then with the conversion!
@@TheLandCruiserChannel thankful and keep rolling 👍👍
You sound like there is a big power difference between the two engine. Is there also a big difference in fuel consumption?
Fuel consumption is almost the same, hard to tell when you run 33" inch mud terrain tyres...
does the 1kz directly bolts into the 2lt mounts?
Not really, engine mounts need moving back on the chassis
How is the turbo that loud ? My 1kz doesn't spool that loud. How can I be able to make it spool/sound louder ?
Just go for a straight pipe and you'll have the results straight away!
@@TheLandCruiserChannel Thanks mate! Much Appreciated
Nice👍. Will the kz engine bolt on the g52 gearbox ?
Got R151F gearbox from the original (2LTE engine) boltet to the 1kz bellhousing, and yes...it is a bolt on job
@@TheLandCruiserChannel i have the Lj95 with a sluggish 3L na plugged to g52. Was thinking whether to turbo it or swap it ..but about the swap was apprehensive about the transmission thing.
Reackon you can bolt that gearbox to a 1kz if you use the 1kz bellhousing without any problems
any chance I can put a 1kz-t in my T100 (3.4L)?
Is it manual gearbox or automatic? Anything is possible mate these days!
Men you have to be careful in the corner that is very powerful
Is 1kz-t better or 2L-TE
1kz-t no doubt!
@@TheLandCruiserChannel Why do tell it's better than 2L-TE
@@TheLandCruiserChannel Actually i'm considering to buy a 2L-TE or 1KZ
@@aaronmotha2465 go for 1kz...
@@TheLandCruiserChannel Auto or manual
