Bobby you gotta get someone to put out the 70s stuff that isn't dynamic range compressed like the Relapse material is! It's too loud and it hurts my eears....it deserves better....the 1972-1979 LP (the first one) is very enjoyable because it's not so loud even though I think it's from cassettes. You da man! I hope you're doing well!

Gleaning this treasure, I haven't been this (giddily/gleefully) excited since receiving an 8-bit NES back in '86 - along with Zelda II: The Adventures of Link, a coming of age, shit-kicking and battle-some genre classic, mind - for my 8th b-day. No shit! As a big-time, long-time P-Gram/Bedemon/bang!/Blue Cheer/Night Sun/The Groundhogs/Dust/Cactus/Lucifer's Friend/Trapeze fan/fiend, all I can say is PLAY IT LOUD!
Old Man & Sundays Child are Great Songs I wish I could find a single of Cartwheel from this era . I’ve tried ripping this onto tape but it’s been hard . This is the only source I know to hear this .
Only the second time Ive heard any of this. A combo of this and Pentagram's super heaviness personifies the 70s heavy rock vibe.Shameful what road Bobby has taken recently but its the classic shoulda woulda story.
It get extremely tiring trying to to deep dive investigative research and coming back with multiple sources that continue to contradict each other... So for the sake of transparency and convenience... Even after reading and re-reading multiple times Geof O'Keefe's authoritative and definitive liner notes from Pentagram "First Daze Here" & First Daze Here Too" official compilation Relapse Records 2016 reissues / remasters of Pentagram's 1971-1976 studio & rehearsal recordings I still am a bit confused as to what recordings are definitely Stone Bunny and what is Pentagram Mark I & II lineups pre Mark IV Pentagram "classic" lineup formed Christmas 1971 of Bobby Liebling, Geof O'Keefe, Vincent McAllister, Greg Mayne As the multiple UA-cam videos posted of the various Stone Bunny & Pentagram 1971 recordings is taken from bootlegs downloaded off the internet and the track orders of all this material has the Stone Bunny & Pentagram various 1971 American Mailing warehouse rehearsal demos muddled and all mixed together in no organized and discernible order differentiating which music is definitively Stone Bunny and which is Pentagram... Per Geof O'Keefe's 2016 liner notes inside Pentagram "First Daze Here" he explicitly stated that Stone Bunny only recorded a 7 song rehearsal demo but only names 3 of the 7 songs and doesn't state the recording date for the Stone Bunny 7 song rehearsal demo except "early 1971" or if this Stone Bunny recording also pre dates the Pentagram 1971 Mark 1 & 2 band lineups 2 separate rehearsal demos or what the exact dates are of the Pentagram 1971 Mark I & II band lineups 2 rehearsal demos. Whoever originally leaked these Stone Bunny and Pentagram rehearsal demos onto the world wide web for download also never explicitly states what material is Stone Bunny and which is Pentagram and this lack of Stone Bunny & Pentagra 1971 recording date info / band lineups as carried over to the multiple UA-cam videos each have all posted similar tracklistings for this material but each video doesn't list explicitly what is Stone Bunny and Pentagram And Geof O'Keefe also explained in his 2016 liner notes that the various UA-cam clips of this material is inaccurate and that the track listings for both Stone Bunny & Pentagram are all bundled together with inaccurate track listings. Sorry for all the run on sentences, grammar mistakes, & typos... I am just trying to get this out my head quickly without spending 2 hours to word everything properly.. So if anyone from Pentagram happens to see this post or Pentagram "innercircle" hardcore fans close to the band that definitely know the hisory... If you could please make a post regarding which material is definitively Stone Bunny & definitely Pentagram 1971 rehearsal demos That would be greatly appreciated!!
Hey Ronnie wall I just checked out the band you mentioned and really enjoy their stuff and if you're not familiar there are other Texas Proto metal psychedelic groups that are even earlier like bubble puppy on International artists and then they became Demain(same four members) which is really heavier even on ABC they're both nowadays just extremely hard to find
Every metal band after sabbath were heavily influenced by them. What's your point? You don't like that the range of music genres is a byproduct of direct copy and influence? Do you not realize that metal came from rock, and rock came from blues, meaning clapton and all the other british bands of the 60s were howlin wolf and buddy guy wannabes?

Early metal! I interviewed Bobby for my book in 2019..such a cool era for music.

Thanks for all the wonderful replies 45 Overdrive you certainly have good taste in bands LOL
That first demo of Ram's Head is so bluesy, love it
freeland gives me chills,. this is music that willnever be made again
After listening to vintage Pentagram band (and discovering Stone Bunny, Bedemon, and Witchcraft) mainstream popular music no longer satisfies.
Rolocub couldn't agree more.
Look up Can, Babies Grandmother, Parsons Sound. All are heavier and earlier.
Look up Iron Madien 1969
Also Dust and Orang u tang
@@careful...Icarus iron claw 1971, and wicked lady 71/72. Both kick ass first wave metal bands.
Ty been listening to this gem a long time it's been hard to find

You can certainly hear the early Jethro Tull influences
and captain beyond

I’d give anything for Freeland to be on Spotify or even soundcloud
