Such a gifted runner and hard worker. On another day she would have made the record. There are such fine margins that contribute to the race, wind etc. such a beautiful sight in motion the best I have ever seen. Something definitely went wrong for her in the last 400m though. She closed the last lap in 66 and needed 63 to trouble the record. This is the slowest last lap she has ever run as she usually does it in around 60s - this demonstrates how difficult it is to run the last 2km of the race by herself. The irony is that nobody but Letesenbet herself can pace someone right up to the end in a WR attempt. And that’s exactly what happened enabling Faith to take the record from her. But I agree with some other posters. Her running style and ability will ultimately make her the greatest road runner of all time (in my opinion)
