Awesome short! I'm loving this camera. I've only had it for a few months and I've mostly used it for photography. However, I'm getting ready to shoot a short western, so I've finally been playing with the video mode. Holy cow, I am stunned at the quality! I've been using my friends As7iii as DP for work on his film lately, personally I like the look of this a lot more.
Yeah, I've really enjoyed working with the camera and I think the log footage looks terrific and is easy to work with. Stay tuned, we have a large horror film dropping and another big project this summer. All shot with the R8

We've actually entered a few festivals already and are excited to see how that goes. As for color, this film was shot in clog3 which is the neutral color profile for creative grading in post, so it isnt a grreat gauge of color straight out of the camera. However, the footage was very easy to grade and the colors were easy to play with. I've also done a few photo shoots with the camera, and the colors are fantastic. The photos look great out of camera. I highly recommend this camera- it's a lot of bang for your buck with semipro specs.

It would have been better if you went back into the trash for the fork.
I like the idea. We obviously didn't think of that, but i think what we went with was still a nice little twist.

Thanks for the catch! It was an adapted EF 50mm f/1.8. All the shots were shot at f/2.8.
