Man, when I saw Kevin decreased the 9sec gap to less than a second in 10 minutes, I thought he could've got ahead of Kamui. Both drivers were very exciting to see for the final 10 minutes. Both are legend drivers.
That's actually insane when estre gets in the groove it's hard to stop him

@@Koyomimatic broo, chill, i think you misunderstood it, I'm new to WEC and I actually like Estre. What I meant to ask was who is the equivalent of Estre on the F1 grid. Since I'm a long time F1 fan and new to WEC, I don't actually know most of the drivers here, so I wanted a broader view on how skilled Estre actually is
To think that these cars have been racing for 6 hours straight and after all that the top two are only seperated by 2 seconds.
Just strap more weight on toyota the difference would be lesser.

One of the greatest fights I've seen in a WEC race - had me on the edge of my chair for the final ten minutes. Kamui is an absolute machine!
I was hoping Estre would get by, but that defence was incredible. Kamui made no mistakes whatsoever.

WEC with arguable the best motorsport package out there for fans (currently) with the worst broadcasting. So incredibly hard to find and watch an entire race.
The full race is getting posted tomorrow morning on this channel. Shouldn't be hard to find.

@@PozzaPizz well unfortunately, contact whoever broadcasts it in your country. Unfortunately, it isn't available everywhere for free, but I would say that it is a good idea to get the subscription in the app so you can watch all the races live.

To be fair, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Hartley was pretty much in fuel saving mode and his engineer even told him he doesn't have enough energy left to fight against the charging Ferrari.

I was on the grandstand near the finish line for the final 25 minutes: so exciting, we were almost screaming of joy and then the Ferrari overtake at the final lap ignited the whole Tifosi sector
Fantastic race in Imola. Ferrari got the rain strategy wrong with all three cars... incredible.
we are only in the 2nd race of this 2024 edition but next year, we will have Aston Martin! The golden age of endurance promises to be incredible! I can't wait to see the other races! ⚡️

Man, WEC and IMSA are on fire for 2 years in a row, not that they weren't good before, it's just that they are the two most fun to watch for 2 years now.
Its amazing how top 3 teams are very close and I hope other teams will step up aswell

They weren't side by side once, i don't think that was a great battle at all. Rather the back markers put an end to any opportunity
That's endurance racing for you traffic can give you as many opportunities as it can take it away, and in Estre's case it was the latter, but still an absolutely incredible fight between these two

Ehh, it's the combination of both Ferrari fumbling their strategy and Toyota perfectly executing everything (Porsche as well)
Toyota and Porsche had an immaculate rhythm at the second half of the race, de Vries, Kobayashi and Estre were insanely fast. They would've caught up with Ferrari at some point, and it would've been an insane 3-way battle. A shame Ferrari's strat was not there.
Ferraru still lost even though they clearly had the bop advantage this weekend. Losing while starting 1-2-3 is not great

Toyota has declared once they arrrived on the track that they painted their car black because in Japanese culture that represents the "hate of loosing" refering to the defeat in Le mans 2023 by Ferrari. I am an italian Tifoso, and I was in Imola, once we have all understoodthat ferrari would not take the chaquered flag, we all starting support Estre😂😂😂

One of the commentators is a Ferrari fanboy, he was just rambling about Ferrari messing up their strategy, like did he bet on Ferrari to win?😂💀
@@Devourur ah mate, that was ear piercing. He just went on and on and on about it. The other commentators clearly thought he was high, they were having mini polite disagreements or kept correcting one another. so much cringe.
the commentary was perfectly fine & in fact pretty good, haven banging on about ferrari not sticking with their choice & being just as confused about the upcoming weather conditions did get tiresome but he's getting into the race just like any other fan. I love passionate commentators but if that's not for you guys fair ig?

Where was the "epic"? Not a single switch in leading. Not a single real attack. Estre was hunting 4 sure, but he was never in a real spot to overtake. It was tight, not more not less. "fight" pffff
