This is what I do with my Worldbox game as well. It's cool to see your world develop its own little history and let everything sort and play itself out. Makes it feel like it can function without me, and it actually adds meaning to the game's events, knowing you're not playing God constantly.
If you ever do this or something like it again just know that orcs are EXTREMELY OP compared to the other 3, which are fairly equal. If you want it to be mostly equal, I'd say spawn way less orcs at the start and some more elves at the start. Great video, keep it up!

that thing you noticed with the orks just destroying villages when at war, and not capturing them isnt exclusive to the orks. its because kingdoms with multiple species cant exist, and if the orks captured the city they would be taking all the citizens inside it as well. all the species do this. also there isnt really much logic behind when and where kingdoms might attack, its based on how much the aggressor kindom likes the other, which is determined by the moods of both kings, whether they share a border, what age the world is in, which species they are, and how powerful the kingdom is. this means that a kingdom might be allied to another under one king, but when that king dies and a new one is elected they will immediately leave the alliance and declare war. also orks pretty much always kill everyone, its usually either elves or orks that kill everyone, depending on how isolated the elves are at the beginning.
That’s interesting. I should really get this game. There was a brief time when I’d just binge watch videos where people showed off different maps and experiments. It definitely looks fun. I hope somebody made a map that’s a recreation of the Matoran Universe from Bionicle. Or at least just the main Island of Mata Nui. Bionicle actually has a shocking amount of lore and depth for a Lego toy line. I’m glad I grew up with those things.
Ahhh I remember Bionicle. I actually have a few. Loved those things. Yeah I highly recommend it. Worldbox is a fantastic game. In a world of overcompetetivness, microtransactions, and absurdly complex games this is a breath of fresh air to just jump in and be able to play.
For the civil wars the reason why it’s always a cycle of civil wars and infighting is probably due to their king and leaders stats and traits, as a king with low stewardship will have lower amount of cities they can stably control without infighting additional some traits that leaders of a city may have will lower loyalty having a higher chance of infighting, hope you found this helpful if you do a different simulation with intervention.
If you wanna make the game go even faster, go to settings and click setting then spam that little burger in the corner and there will be a little cheat thingy that can let you do fast spawn and supersonic speed
So the interesting thing is that there’s actually an aggression stat and meter for each race. And unsurprisingly Orcs have the highest aggression stat, which is nearly double that of the elves, and 0.50 more than humans. The interesting thing is though when they come into contact with a human or elf civilization, that specific settlement or kingdom that made contact gets nearly double the amount of aggression, this is the highest increase out of any other race.
If you place too many trees/resources, it gets in the way of their buildings. You get much better villages if you let them work with their natural resources instead, but you can place these down strategically as well.
